"This is a beautiful and peaceful setting tucked in right next to the river yet so close to town and area hiking spots. The hosts are super welcoming and accessible for any questions. They have thought of everything from comfy bed to well equipped kitchen to fast wifi. The hot tub just outside the door overlooking the river is icing on the cake! I love it here."

"We enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Hideaway and the location worked out very well for us. We attended a wedding in Carbondale, visited the Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood and hiked in Redstone. This was a great home base. Shelley was a great communicator and provided many recommendations for hiking. The property offered plenty of space for 4 couples and had everything we needed. The view was beautiful! We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others!"

"This is by far the absolute best vacation home I have ever rented! Exceptionally clean, extremely well appointed, and no details are overlooked. The views are stunning from every room. The outdoor decks have comfortable furniture, and the hot tub and outdoor fire pit are spectacular. The gourmet kitchen has anything & everything your own home would have including high end appliances, plenty of dishware, cookware, bakeware, cooking spices, food wrap items e.g. foil, ziploc bags and plastic wrap. There is a grill provided and we did make a fabulous steak dinner and dined in one night. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had plenty of towels provided. The home is challenging to find and we had to ask a neighbor for directions because we didn't go far enough up the gravel/dirt road to find the address. To say the access road is very rough would be an understatement, and we didn't think it could possibly be the right road due to the poor condition with ruts but it was indeed the correct road. Be sure to read the details of the rental regarding the need for a 4-wheel drive vehicle. It's an absolute necessity. I would rent the home again in a heartbeat in summer/dry conditions but personally, I think rainy and especially snowy conditions would be a huge challenge for access up and down the mountain on the dirt road."
