Overall, a lovely place to stay with great facilities and friendly staff, lovely breakfast - plenty of choice, the room we had was a little dated and could use a freshen up, but that is my only criticism.

Room comfortable enough but in the older part of the house and a little tried. Breakfast was very disappointing, slow to be seated as ignored by staff and had to wait ages for a host to seat us. Dissappointing selection due to much of it gone, coffee was undrinkable as it appeared there appeared to be a lack of "coffee beans" and hence very weak. Requested another pot that never arrived. Not alone as 3 other tables had the same issue.

Enjoyed the stay although late arrival at 8pm meant to late for restaurant after a long day doing London-Essex 100mile bike ride was very disappointing. Restaurant at breakfast very busy and understaffed.

Very relaxing stay. Spa facilities are very good. Rooms are clean although some maintenance snagging needs to be done (faulty flush, loose taps, loose window locks, broken hairdryer in our room). Staff were overall friendly. Breakfast staff were friendly but were slow to clean and make up tables, food was not topped up when it was running low even though it was only 9am and did not tidy up food areas, ie spilt food in the servery. No atmosphere in the bar on an evening so could do with unpretentious music on and turned up do you can hear it.

**Hotel Review** Upon arrival at the hotel, I was able to go to my room without any issues. However, I found that there were no amenities or toiletries in the bathroom. When I requested them, I was only provided with a toothbrush, which was quite disappointing. The general condition of the room was satisfactory. It was fairly cold at night, likely due to the age of the building. While there was regular cleaning, the towels could have been cleaner. Clean towels are an essential aspect of a comfortable stay, and this was an area that fell short. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The quality and variety of the food were outstanding, and it significantly enhanced my overall experience. The wait staff were excellent and went above and beyond in their service. Considering the price and the overall amenities, the stay was comfortable. However, I encountered an issue with a second booking I made for my father. Despite booking a room with a king-size bed, he was given a single bed for the entire stay, with the hotel citing a lack of available rooms. This was a significant inconvenience. In summary, while the food and service were exceptional, the lack of amenities, cleanliness of towels, and booking issues were notable drawbacks.
