We recently stayed at this resort and had a mixed experience. The positives were definitely the friendly and welcoming staff, who were always pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The beachfront location was beautiful, and having both a beach and a pool gave us plenty of options for relaxing. The happy hour was excellent and something we looked forward to each day. The resort grounds and gardens were absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. We also appreciated that towels were provided for both the beach and pool, making things convenient. Unfortunately, there were several issues with our room. It was not as clean as we expected, the refrigerator did not work properly, and the hot tub on our balcony was not clean and appeared poorly maintained. We were also surprised that the room did not include a microwave, which would have been helpful during our stay. Another consideration is the location. While the setting is beautiful, it is not really within walking distance of shops, restaurants, or other attractions, so transportation is necessary. Overall, the resort has beautiful grounds, a great beach, and wonderful staff, but the room maintenance and cleanliness need improvement to match the otherwise pleasant experience.

Our room was spectacular. Everyone was super nice. We loved the food and took advantage of room service every day. Cocktails are expensive, but beer and wine were reasonable for resort prices. We would definitely stay again. The black beach was so beautiful as well.

Property was gorgeous, very clean rooms and excellent service! The location with beach access was amazing, and pool and views of the sunset were unforgettable. We would have liked more options for restaurants, as there was only one on site, and none in walking distance. Also, the half door to the shower resulted in water splashing out quite a bit on the bathroom floor. However, the amenities were wonderful, the front desk staff were so friendly, and it was a unique experience.

This property is nice, but it could definitely use a revamp on the exterior. We only stayed 1 night before taking the ferry to Moorea. You can tell it is an older property by the look of the buildings from the outsides. Our room was still pretty nice with a gorgeous ocean view and a jacuzzi tub. The staff was extremely kind and as accommodating as possible. They allowed us to check into our room hours earlier than expected and even upgraded us from the room we reserved to a better one. While we waited, they allowed us to use the spa showers to get freshened up after our long flight and when we realized our electronics chargers were incompatible with their outlet, they loaned us adapters. The beachfront is absolutely gorgeous and we loved walking along the black sand. The restaurant breakfast buffet was ok, but insanely expensive. $87 for 2 people. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would definitely stay again.

We were upgraded to a superior hot tub room in building 0 which was one of the recently renovated rooms. Big, bright, comfortable with a lovely view of the black beach. Lovely to fall asleep listening to the crashing waves. The property has great potential with its location. However, it is one of the older resorts on Tahiti and is showing its age. The facilities are in need of a refresh for sure. That being said, it was a nice place to spend a couple of days before heading to Moorea. If you are looking for a high end 5 star experience, stay at the Hilton or Intercontinental.
