"The villa was really lovely and the views from the pool area are stunning. Andreas, who looked after the place, was fantastic from start to finish, so nice and friendly. He even brought us a couple of delicious cakes during our stay!The communications all the way along were quick and easy, as was check in/out. They were helpful while we were there too with lots of recommendations.I really can't recommend the place highly enough!"
Superb villa with panoramic sea and mountain views with infinity pool

"A really special villa- in the most beautiful spot. We all really appreciated the peace and the views - so many wonderful outdoor spaces to sit and relax, surrounded by the hills and mountains with a glorious view to the sea. A very easy 10 minute drive to good supermarkets and tavernas and also the excellent Maria’s taverna a 3 min drive away. Communication with host and Gaby was great - quick responses and Gaby was very helpful. We cannot fault the accommodation and pool - all clean and spacious and well equipped and laid out. Would definitely return."

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa and can highly recommend it. The villa has been beautifully renovated from traditional stone, combining authentic Cretan charm with every modern comfort. It is spotlessly clean, extremely well organized, and features a lovely private pool on the terrace, perfect for relaxing. The village itself is charming and calme, with a few excellent traditional tavernas, and is ideally located just 10 minutes from both Lake Kournas and the sea. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. They welcomed us with a selection of local products on our arrival. These thoughtful touches made our stay even more special. We would not hesitate to stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional villa to anyone visiting Crete."

"Die Villa ist toll und gut ausgestattet. Wir wurden mit einer tollen Erstausstattung von Obst, Getränken, Kaffee, Tee, Gewürzen, Honig, Öl etc. willkommen geheißen. Alle Fragen wurden umgehend beantwortet und Tipps für Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gegeben.Die Reinigung des Hauses sowie des Pools mussten einmal angesprochen werden, dann lief das aber problemlos. Leider spielte das Wetter nicht so mit, sodass wir den Pool kaum genutzt haben, dafür jedoch Kreta gut anschauen konnten! Hierfür ist es eine gute Lage!Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht. Wir könnten uns gut vorstellen, Villa Karouzo erneut zu buchen. Als kleinen Tipp würden wir vorschlagen, die Halterung in der einen Dusche zu befestigen, weil der Duschkopf nicht hält, die Eigentümerin hatte es einmal versucht, es hielt aber nicht, trotzdem sehr nett.Auch können wir empfehlen, ein Schneidebrett mitzunehmen, sonst ist alles da was man braucht!Allen, die die Villa buchen wünschen wir eine gute Zeit, die kann man dort definitiv verbringen! "

"My family's stay at the cottage was wonderful. The home was spacious, clean and mostly comfortable (although the beds were a little bit too firm for my family). The mountain and sea views were fantastic! Herbert was a kind and gracious host and was always available in case we had any concerns. He was delightful to talk to and he has a wealth of knowledge about the area. Although we were on a pre-planned schedule, he was always willing to offer a tour of surrounding areas. All in all, the stay was marvelous and we'd recommend staying there to anyone spending their holiday on Crete!"

"The hotel is new and rooms are large. We had a huge extra balcony space but our room was far from the lobby, pool and restaurants. Everything should get a 4.5 star rating, just like the hotel. It's not 5 star but it's almost. Breakfast has a bunch of options and the view is great. The beach is nice and the staff there always made us feel welcome. It's hard to explain but everything was good, while not being 5 star."
