"Perla del Sole is a small, friendly B&B, though with a hotel-style reception, in the resort of Arenella, 8km from Syracuse. The hotel manager (who spoke excellent English) greeted us warmly and provided plenty of helpful information, such as maps, local restaurants, transport information, etc. The rooms were comfortable with all the essentials, including air conditioning (definitely needed at night, as it stays hot after sundown in Sicily) and free wi-fi, and were well cleaned daily. "Voor minder-validen bleek de villa toch niet zo geschikt; paar treden om in het huis te komen, op de begane grond alleen een (erg goede) slaapbank en treden naar de badkamer en naar de keuken. Erg veel ruimte, ook boven. Alles wel gedateerd en keukengerij en dergelijke voldoende maar bij elkaar geraapt zooitje.Ontvangst en verzorging door de host was prima; erg aardig en behulpzaam."
