Hotel staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast and the staff member even upgraded us to a room with a hot-tub! (This was GREATLY appreciated after I got us lost on a hike and we ended up walking over 7 miles for 6 hours while birding, and our sore muscles NEEDED that hot soak!) The room was clean and quiet. Many thanks to the staff of Stoney Creek Inn in Galena, IL!"

"Really needs good cooking utensils. Had to wait over a half hour to get in because Cleaning crew was still there. Having a list of where things are located would have been very helpful, such as cushions for outside chairs place where we could get more firewood, etc. We loved the atmosphere."
