"The hotel is being “refreshed”; there are missing latches on windows and odd plumbing, some tired carpets, weird (to my tastes) metal animals arranged around the property. However, the room was clean and functional, the restaurant food was very good for dinner and breakfast."

The rooms were big enough for our family (4 people to each room), the breakfast was amazing, there was actually parking (which we have learned is not always available even when listed), and my kids loved the complimentary hot cocoa."

"The rooms and common areas are opulent and luxurious. The grounds are wonderfully manicured with exceptional views out to the sea. There is even a haunted castle ruin on site! All the staff are wonderful and friendly, especially Andrea who looked after my family and I on our short stay. Without a doubt, one of the prettiest hotels in Scotland! "
