The best area to stay in Anesakhan is the Shan State side of the town, particularly on the plateau near the golf club.

This area offers a more elevated and open setting, providing pleasant views and a generally cooler climate than the valley below. It's characterised by its green spaces and the presence of the 18-hole golf course, which is a central feature. You'll find a selection of good hotels here, often with spacious grounds.

Couples looking for a relaxing retreat will find this area particularly appealing. The tranquil surroundings, often with well-maintained gardens and easy access to the golf course, create an ideal setting for a peaceful getaway. It's also a good base for exploring the surrounding hills and enjoying the fresh air.

For those seeking a more active holiday, the plateau's proximity to the golf club makes it an obvious choice. Many hotels in this area cater to guests looking for recreational activities, sometimes offering facilities like tennis courts or high-end fitness equipment.

The best time to go to Anesakhan is during the dry season, from November to February, when the weather is pleasant and comfortable for exploring.

During these months, you can expect clear skies and moderate temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like visiting the Anesakhan Caves or enjoying a boat trip on the nearby lake. This period also coincides with various local festivals, offering a chance to experience the regional culture.

For those looking to avoid the busiest tourist period while still enjoying good weather, late February to early March can be a good option.
