"The property was perfect for our stay. The host was able to provide a grill and answered all my questions timely. Property was centrally located to several areas we wanted to explore. We spent time at Silver Beach, Jean Klock Beach, as well as New Buffalo Beach on our way up from Ohio. There was plenty of space for our little one to play outside in the evenings and chairs provided for use. There was assigned parking for our unit and that was extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to recharge, but close enough to easily explore Benton Harbor and St. Joseph."
Cozy Lake Chapin House, One Bedroom, One Bath Quiet Country Setting

"We were so happy with the property, the perfect getaway with our pup. The back deck was great for an evening glass of wine and we were surprised to see two pairs of swans gliding along the lake our first night there. Our pup had fun chasing the boat waves while we relaxed on the shoreline. Close to so many great dog friendly places. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future!"

"We had 25 in the house including 3 ages 3 & under. House was stunning and very clean. Plenty of bedroom space for each family and generous common area & seating for all of us to eat together and just be together. Kitchen space and equipment was generous as well, pool was great for 3 kids with the multiple water levels. Having bedroom Blackout shades in the would be a very helpful addition to keep early morning sunlight from entering the rooms. Installing handrails in the showers would be very helpful.. Access to beaches was a comfortable drive away, about 15-20 minutes . Everyone had a great time!"

"Our group of 12 stayed here for 2 nights in July 2026, and we had a fantastic experience. We would definitely come back! The property was a perfect fit for our trip and had everything we needed.Many in our group are 6'2", and everyone was very comfortable. The listing was accurate, and we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the beds were. The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained, noticeably better than many VRBOs I’ve stayed at.The amenities were excellent, and the host was very thoughtful in providing dry firewood since we had a rainy weekend. The basement foosball table was a fun bonus for me personally. The location was great, with Berrien Springs being a charming, small, walkable town with nearby restaurants. Despite being close to the road, the property was quiet and we had no complaints about car noise!The shared parking area with the adjacent property was a plus, with plenty of space for our large vehicles and separate arrivals. The location between Warren Dunes and St. Joseph was also ideal, as both are fantastic destinations you can easily spend an entire day in.The host was extremely communicative and responsive. I asked our group for feedback before writing this review, and nobody had any negatives. The only small suggestion would be adding more fans or white noise machines for guests who prefer background noise while sleeping, but that's so niche/personal it feels like we are grasping at straws for feedback!10/10 would stay again!"

"Beautiful house with beautiful view of Lake Chapin! Our family of 9 had a great 4-night stay, enjoying all the amenities. The house was spacious and clean with a well-stocked kitchen. Kids (ages 4,5 & 8) loved the pool and game room and making s’mores in the fire pit. Dock was great for launching our own kayaks/inflatable boat. Great family getaway!"

"We had a wonderful time at beautiful Bear Lodge! It was everything we had hoped for in our family reunion. Spacious, elegant, fun, well equipped and so well thought out. We especially loved the pool area, soccer field with fabulous terrace balcony overlooking all. We hope we left it all in order today! We would rate this place at a 10!"

"The apartment was very clean, well kept, and perfect for our stay. Bergeline was great with communication. I think they have well water, which if you’re not used, to has a distinct smell, you may want to bring your own water to drink. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend it!"
