Independent in Andes

"We had an overall very positive experience staying at this hotel. The property itself was nice and generally clean. Housekeeping did a great job with daily service, including making the beds and tidying up the room. That said, there were a few small details that could be improved, such as empty bottles occasionally being left on the patio areas. Breakfast was simple but good, and it was a nice way to start the day. One minor inconvenience was that getting extra towels sometimes took a bit of time, especially during busier periods. The location was definitely a highlight. Being situated in the Old Town area made it incredibly easy to walk around and explore, and we found the people in the area to be very friendly and welcoming. There were a couple of drawbacks worth noting. The hotel does not have air conditioning, which wasn’t ideal, and on a few nights it was quite loud outside. Since opening the windows lets in a lot of noise, it made sleeping a bit challenging at times. Overall, I would rate this hotel a solid 4 out of 5 for Quito. With just a few improvements, it could easily be even better."

"The mattress on 307 needs a little love. Too hard. I love the mattress on Oro verde Guayaquil suite. This one was a let down. The bathroom wayy too small"

"Very convenient location so close to the airport and no noise. Staff were lovely. I especially appreciated the water station for refilling water bottles and the carafe in the room - it was good water too!"

"Everybody in the hotel was very friendly. The room was clean. Only issue we had was two hours before checkout we went to shower and the water wasn’t running in the bathroom at all. It was working in the evening beforehand."
