The room was ok but the a/c didn’t work, and moving the suitcases up those long stairs was very inconvenient. Also, we went to check out at 9 but the office didn’t open until 10.

The person at the front desk was very nice and efficient, the place is nothing fancy but it had everything we needed and it was clean also it was very quiet at night which was good.

I felt unsafe at this location due to random individuals darting in and out of the building. There was so much noise caused by people knocking on the door to enter throughout the night. People slamming doors thru out the night and constant chatter the walls were too thin you can hear everything. Kitchen area was non existent. Water was really cold I only had one hot shower my stay here. The smell was so strong walking in it literally gave me headaches before bed.

We contacted the property the day of our arrival to let them know we would be late checking in due to a delay with our flight. We were told that someone would be there to check us in. When we arrived, all doors were locked. We had to find other accommodations. It was approximately 1:30 AM, we had no car, and temperatures were around freezing.

The manager John is really nice and takes good care of you. There are plenty of motels in the area, but you just can't beat the price for this one. I've stayed here 3 times since I've been on my camping trip in Alaska and I've always been comfortable. This motel is like a coss between a hostel and an inn. There is no breakfast served, but there is a common kitchen for cooking. Not all the rooms have bathrooms in them, for some if the rooms you have to use the bathrooms in the hall. The beds are a little firm, but still comortable. One room I had, room 110, had a backward faucet for the hot water so cold was hot and hot was cold...but it wasn't a problem once I figured that out. Overall, it's graat little inn, and my favorite one in Anchorage. I would stay here again.

I have stayed in the “best” hotels in Anchorage ( Captain Cook, Marriott, Millennium, etc.), but I enjoyed this unique, quirky, clean and authentic Alaskan motel more than any other lodging. The staff was welcoming and genuinely interested in making my stay pleasant. Thank you to all who run this establishment.

I felt right at home think rustic. If your tired of the corporate cookie cutter rooms this is the place for you. You have pizza across the street convince store right down the street for snacks. Wally World 10 minutes away on foot. If saving a few bucks is your priority give it look. I will be returning in the future.

This Inn is in such a great location. You’re 1-2 miles away from absolutely everything. It makes it so easy to grab a taxi or Uber and then BOOM you’re there. It’s also very walkable and there is tons to do right near the Inn itself if you don’t want to go into midtown.

Thank goodness we had a private bathroom, as after meeting some of the other guests, we wouldn't have wanted to share. Shared kitchen facilities lend a hostel type atmosphere which is fine, but seems to encourage long term residents. Our room was filthy on arrival, but at least the bed was clean. They did jump on to trying to rectify it. Shower was the highlight; really really good. Domino's across the road and Walmart (and other good shops) in the vicinity. Room had no ventilation and became very stuffy, and very noisy from next door and above.We wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I don't understand how this place has so many good reviews because this place was absolutely terrible. And when the inn keeper asked how my stay was I said it wasn't good and she was like "that's surprising, everyone loves it here because it's cheap and quiet" it is definitely not quiet one bit. Constantly slamming and yelling from her "workers". Sketchy people walk around the building at night and someone was doing weird things outside my window all night. There is NO bathroom in your room at all. You have to walk down the hall to nasty uncleaned shared bathrooms and showers. There's loose hanging electrical wires everywhere, cracks in the foundation everywhere. The wall plugs in my room doesn't have a cover and is just left exposed. There's a crack in my door that lets me see into the hall and just anyone can peek through. My drawers in my room have no bottoms, what's the point of a dresser? The mattress was so old and disgusting and had holes and really nasty stains on it. My sheet had crusty white stuff on it. My room also smelt terrible up on arrival. There's no control of the heat so you just get to burn up in your room, the window has no screen on it and it's right next to the stairs so anyone could just crawl into your room through the window. Do not waste your money on this place, it may be cheap but it's definitely not worth staying here, I was stressed out and scared for my life staying at this inn.
