The hospitality shown by owners Robert and Maria is the absolute best. We had a great breakfast and great conversation - they were just the sweetest people and the stay was cozy and warm. Highly recommend visiting here when in Anchorage!
This was my second stay at Maria's B&B. The spacious room and private bath were spectacularly clean. My two-day stay helped me prepare for a medical procedure that went well. Thank you, Maria and Robert! I hope to see you both on my next visit to Anchorage.
Excellent out-of-the-way B&B adjacent to a park. The staff could not be any friendlier in the breakfast was very good. I would stay here again in a minute.
Maria & Robert were wonderful hosts. The room was quiet, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Robert and I talked for over an hour after breakfast on a variety of subjects. He's an entertaining conversationalist. I will make certain to call on them on my next trip to Anchorage and you should you too.

Fabulous and cozy b and b. The host and hostess were lovely, the breakfast delicious and beautifully presented, and the room was cozy, wonderfully decorated, and very nice! Better than a 5 star hotel. We will be recommending to others!
This place is owned and operated by a lovely couple. The large, beautiful house is bordered by a park which would be nice in the summertime. The room I stayed in was on the ground floor. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable queen-size four poster bed, a private bathroom, beautifully decorated, comfortable chairs for sitting to watch TV. It was warm and well lit with several lamps. The dining/living area was upstairs. Maria prepared WONDERFUL breakfasts including fresh coffee and orange juice. Nice conversation too. I really recommend this place for a lovely, relaxing stay. For a reasonable rate.
Loved our stay! Warm carpeted floors created a very homey experience. Breakfast was wonderful. Coffee maker and mini fridge in the room was a nice convenience. Bathroom was clean with hot water. Only idea for improvement would be to add a way to charge cellular phones at the bedside tables.
Stay was comfortable, but overpriced given the remote location. Breakfast limited.
Maria was extremely sweet, but husband Robert was opinionated and not suited to the hospitality/service industry.
Maria was great and she has a beautiful house overlooking a creek. Rooms are spacious and clean, and Maria made us a great breakfast the next morning. We saw a moose by the creek while eating breakfast!
Maria’s home is nice and very clean although not so on curb appeal.
The made to order breakfast was very good.
We would have rated this a 5 star if not for the following reason:
Between 6:30 and 7:30 pm we tried but was not able to access the kitchen and dining area to warm our food and to enjoy our dinner meal before heading to the airport although we paid for paid for 2 nights but stayed only 1 night. Soon after we decided to head to the airport sooner than originally planned,
Overall it was a nice stay on the last day of our extended Alaska adventure.
Front of house is initially not impressive but 1st impression was quickly forgotten after entering house. Beautiful interior, large rooms , modern conveniences, impeccably clean and the hosts ( Maria and David) were so helpful , friendly and great cooks—-Breakfasts were outstanding .
No reservations at all In highly recommending a stay there.
We really enjoyed the comfort and friendliness this B&B offers. The breakfast was delicious, the bed was very comfortable
and the hosts were wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.
What lovely hosts! Breakfast was wonderful. Our room was quite spacious. Not sure of the other two rooms. Easy excess to all things in Anchorage. we will be recommending them.
Unfriendly staff and bad neighborhood, and very slippery entrance !

Vander, after a couple of issues with local guests on a Saturday night we decided that we do not accept reservations from people who live in Anchorage. That policy is clearly stated on our online pages. We rarely quote policy, however, we have decided that, in this case, we make no exceptions. Sorry that you were disappointed that your Saturday night reservation was not honored. Given the neighborhood where you live, I am not sure how being surrounded by Campbell Creek Park would have been a problem for you.
Love to support local and am very happy it continues to work out well. Wonderful hosts, excellent breakfast that hit the spot, and a cool trail system right behind the property. I only stayed one night between flights, but got to see a moose and river otter on the 2 hour hike I took. The room and everything in it was very comfortable and extremely clean. Great place to stay

Ryan, scheduling Moose is always difficult. Glad we could accomodate. Campell Creek Park is an urban treasure. Glad you enjoyed it.
Everything was great. Quiet room with privacy. There was a lot of snow and they did a great job clearing walkways. I wish they had some amenities for use though like snow shoes or something to walk down to the river. Overall fantastic

Michael, that snowshoe on the river thing can be tricky. Falling through the ice is a real possiblity this time of year. Just two weeks after your stay we have open water. Thanks for the review.
Lovely, peaceful, restful. Maria was very welcoming and helpful. Will stay here again!

Sandra, Maria is welcoming and helpful indeed. She is also beautiful, kind, loving, hard-working, a great kisser, and a great cook. I am soooo blessed.
Excellent stay, the owners are very welcoming and hospitable. We were there for oral surgery in Anchorage, and they went the extra mile to make us comfortable.

What a great find. We loved everything about Maria’s B&B. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived until we left. Her place was decorated beautifully, it was quite and very comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast served to us while sitting around the table with great conversation. We would highly recommend if you’re in Anchorage and can get a chance to stop by Marias and stay a night or longer you’ll never regret it. We look forward to coming back someday.
Staff was friendly. The bedroom and dining area were beautiful and spacious and quite comfortable. It was nice to have Campbell Creek Park, which connects to Far North Bicentennial Park, right in the back yard with easy trail access.
The surrounding neighborhood across from the park is quiet (which I appreciated), though not particularly beautiful. Eggs with sausage and toast with jam was good and filling breakfast. Though a pastry (scone or muffin) would be nice. Option of cheese and veggies with egg would be nice.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Maria's B&B. It was the start of our 10 day Alaskan trip, and we absolutely loved it. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Our breakfasts were delicious. Robert and Maria are very nice and hospitable. This is really a gem! If we ever travel back to Anchorage, we would love to stay here again!
Maria met us at the door and showed us where to park and helped us inside where we signed the paperwork for the room. We got a key code for the front door & a key to our room. The room was spacious & cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds were charming and well cared-for and there were many options for seating/tables, places to lounge, and games/books. The bed was super creaky with any movement (turning over, getting in & out of bed) which made sleeping a little bit difficult, but the mattress was very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and Maria made sure we had coffee/juice and cooked everything to order. She & Robert were a pleasure to chat with & they made us feel very welcome. We would definitely like to book with them again in the future!
Maria’s was the best! I absolutely felt at home and comfortable with the large room updated bathroom and amazing breakfast. I will try to stay here as often as possible.
This place is really excellent. Clean room, especially bathroom, friendly staff, beautiful breakfast and nice location!! I have never stayed in such a wonderful hotel before! I can highly recommend this hotel. I would really like to stay at this hotel again!
Maria’s place is comfortable, homey and very clean. The room was cozy and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood nice and quiet. A perfect home away from home. Maria and Robert are delightful hosts. They are kind, personable and helpful. I enjoyed good conversation over an excellent breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.
Maria's Creekside B&B is a weary traveler's dream. Beautiful rooms and home, with a most scrumptious breakfast. Glorious trail right outside along the creek. I was there in winter, and what a winter Wonderland. Four Moose had a lovey morning jog right past my car in the driveway! With all of that, the best part was Maria and Robert. The conversations at breakfast was like being with old friends. I can’t wait to have the pleasure of another visit, and more thought inspiring conversation. Thank you Maria and Robert for such a lovely and peaceful stay. I hope to see you soon.

Thank you for the kind words. We never tire of seeing moose in our yard. Many of our friends have become guests and many of our guests have become friends. We look forward to seeing you again.
Close to medical stuff i go to anchorage for.
I wish marias husband wouldn't talk politics at breakfast. Third visit, third time he's tried to 'educate' me. Maria is wonderful though, breakfast is a treat and the rooms are gorgeous.

Caslea,
Thank you for the thoughtful review. Maria is wonderful, isn't she? For years I told her she is a great cook and she would reject the praise. Now I can show her dozens of online reviews to confirm the opinion. We look forward to your next visit.
The Bells were very accommodating, lovely couple. Their place was beautiful, our room was very clean and tidy, with a refrigerator, coffee, tea, brochures and magazines of Alaska. The breakfast was amazing, it was hearty, home-cooked and delicious. We were already planning to go back this summer.

Hannah,
Thank you for the thoughtful review. We hope that your Alaska winter vacation met your expectations.
My daughter was having surgery at the nearby hospital and I needed somewhere close by to stay at. Maria’s place came up right away and I knew it was Devine intervention once I arrived. Maria and Bob helped turn what was a very stressful, long, day into am evening of rejuvenation. Their hospitality was top notch and their welcome was friendly and genuine. The room was clean and very comfortable. I woke ready for another long day at the hospital and Maria sent me on my way with a full belly from a delicious breakfast. I would recvemr Maria’s to everyone!

Hillary,
We often host guests who are engaged, in one way or another, at the hospital. We can relate to the kind of stress those times place on us all. We are always pleased to help where we can.
