Having hiked up the rather steep steps to get in, the hotel is lovely.
The staff were all welcoming, and helpful. We arrived early, so our room wasn't ready, but we were able to leave our luggage in a securely locked room at reception.
Once checked in, we used the lift to our room. The room was compact, but very smart, clean and tidy. For a hotel at the lower end of the budget, it looked very impressive, definitely better than most we've stayed at in this price bracket. The room had a small fridge, a safe, and a Nespresso coffee machine. There was also a kettle for hot water for tea.
The bed was comfortable - not too soft, not too firm.
The ensuite was very clean, looked almost brand new, and there was plenty of hot water for showers.
We found we're under a flightpath for one of Schiphol's minor runways, so there were frequent planes flying over, but the double glazing did its job, and we had a very refreshing night's sleep.
Overall we we are happy to recommend the hotel. Our only minor niggle was the very steep steps up to the entrance.
