Good property overall. Nice and comfortable rooms, very friendly staff. My only peeve was (baring in mind I arrived very late that night) housekeeping came to clean the room at about 9am, it was no later than 9:30am. This is fine for some but if not ready at that time then you miss the opportunity for the whole day.

Clean and beautifully designed rooms. Comfortable mattress and pillow, which allowed a good night sleep. Kind a helpful staff.

Friendly staff - hotel in poor condition
Only third room worked. First one toilet was running noisily, second smelled from cigarette smoke. Third was ok but shower didn’t drain and caused a half flooding of the bathroom. As I arrived late they couldn’t change the room key anymore. Had to get a new one next morning. The front desk person didn’t know how to do it though and had to get assistance.

Brilliant hotel and great value service
The overall service was amazing. The lack of crib when we arrived was a little let down but staff went above and beyond. We had 2 cribs at 9 am in the morning, best service from the staff

The room smelled of cigarette smoke the first few days. The door would wobble to the tune of the wind outside the building, making noises which would prevent you from sleeping. Rooms were OK.

Pros: The staff was friendly. Cons: everything was quite loud, the area (high way), the air conditioning, the refrigerator, and the guests (thin walls and door). The mattress was old and there was nothing in the shower cabin to put the soap/shampoo on other than the floor.

When we checked in the woman at the counter was rude, unprofessional and nasty. When I asked for her name she stated that I was not treating her with respect so she wasn’t going to treat me with respect. We said nothing disrespectful to this person, she used this as an excuse to vent her hostility that was unwarranted. She refused to give me her name after I asked to speak with her supervisor. She kept yelling at us as we left the counter in front of other guests. The other woman that just came on duty Hanicka, was abrupt and unhelpful when we asked for some ice. The check in experience was the worst and we travel all over the world.

Its nice to be away from the city centre and the staff are lovely. But the rooms are just grimy. Noticeable marks on the wall, toilet paper stuck to the door. Dust and crumbs on the floor. It's lacking in basic cleaning.

A pleasant hotel spoilt by our returning to our room late on Christmas Day to find it had not been serviced. Beds unmade, wet towels in the shower, no toilet roll and no coffee!!! Staff only mildly apologetic. Asked for a discount but was told that was not possible. Third time we have stayed there but will consider other hotels in Zaandam for our next visits- up to 3 each year.

Friendly staff but hotel cleanness was very poor rubbish still in bin from perivous guest, remote controll battery cover was found under bed with rubbish the heating kept turning off was only small so there fore -3 degrees wasn't warm at all. Got given twin when we was meant to have double.. Restaurant area unclean with milk stains on floor all the time we stayed with dugee wrappers on floor too. But we did how ever get left to our own and was quiet and relaxed atmosphere

Close to the bus stops, very practical!
While it seems far from the city centre, the buses were 3 every hour and very direct, only a 25/30 (max) minute journeys, and a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The staff were very welcoming, and the smoking lounge with the pool table was perfect for a final activity before bed. The rooms were spacious with modern bathrooms, and I thought the beds were wonderfully comfortable! I would stay there again with no arguments.

Nice & clean room, the hotel is a bit far from Amsterdam centre but 30 mins on the bus isn't too bad. Only bad thing to say about this hotel is we was woken up every morning with construction on the floor above which was very loud an annoying!!

Locked out so what did I pay for?
After we checked in, we decided to take the near hour bus ride to central Amsterdam. Upon return in the early morning, our key to our room did not work. No one was assigned to the front desk and we had to ask a restaurant employee to let us in our room. It was a very strange experience since he did not even ask us for proof that it was our room. This made me nervous for the following nights.

Perfectly fine for a 3 star
We just wanted a room to sleep in close to a wedding we were attending. The hotel was perfectly OK and comfortable for the purpose. Small room and bathroom but clean enough. It is a 3 Star Hotel, and fits the bill.

Great option
The cheapest hotel in Amsterdam area I could find turned out to be brilliiant in every aspect. It does take half an hour to get to the center by bike and there's not much to do in the hotel walking distance but still you get a wonderful bargain.

Lovely hotel, bit out of the way but not too bad
As title mentions, the hotel is lovely, the decor is modern, classy! It's a little far out with not much to do in the immediate surrounding area. Mcdonalds & KFC is a good 25-minute walk away, but only around 15/20 minutes into Amsterdam centre which isn't bad at all, only 5 euros each way. I would stay here again, its well worth the money; I'd rather pay these prices & travel than staying in the centre & pay a fortune! We didn't have breakfast or evening meal so no comment on that. The cups provided in our room weren't cleaned properly and that was slightly disappointing but that's the only flaw in the entire hotel so not bad at all!

Nice hotel, out of town.
The room was clean and tidy. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The meals were lovely. It was about 25 mins away from central Amsterdam, using the bus. Buses were always on time and runs throughout the day. A very good trip.

Good Hotel
The staff were very welcoming and very helpful the room was clean and comfortable five stars from me and my partner it was a bit far out of the centre of Amsterdam but we caught a bus 🚌 to and from there but the first time coming back from the centre we missed our stop but the driver took us back to the bus 🚌 depot then gave us a lift to our hotel so we met a Good Samaritan had a great day on the canals
