"Nestled in the hills surrounded by lush greenery, the Alver Hotel was our base for kayaking in the spectacular fjords. We stayed in an updated cabin that was well equipped with the basic necessities, including an in unit washer and dryer. Our stay includes a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. "Location is. great. The only thing is August 14th is college orientation day and we have hundreds youngsters entering bars around the hotel, A lot of noise, though the windows were very sound proof."
"I only had 24 hours in Bergen as a stop on my trip, so valued proximity to the things I wanted to see. This hotel was exactly what I needed! It was a short walk from the market, fløibanen, shopping, and general sites in Bergen I wanted to explore. I was able to take a bus to/from the airport, but otherwise could walk to anything else I was interested in from the hotel. I was a little nervous about leaving my luggage in the closet since staff gave an access card for guests to manage it themselves, but I quickly learned there's a different level of trust in the Nordic countries that I wasn't used to. The room was clean, had a fan (great bonus in summer!), was quiet, and had anything I needed. The design was fun, but the decor did give me a bit of a visual headache (which I am prone to). That was the only downside, though. The breakfast was lovely and had a great variety as a send off in the morning. I appreciated my stay here and the convenience of its location for sure!"
