Altstadt Salzburg Hotels, Salzburg

"This "apartment"/hotel was our favorite out of the four hotels we stayed at in Austria. First off, one could not ask for a better location. It is minutes from a major bus stop, a grocery store, shopping, restaurants and the "old town". Secondly, the "room" itself was very nice. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. Thirdly, the amenities are plentiful. A small kitchen with a refrigerator, actual glasses, plates, silverware and a microwave. They have a "guest mobility pass" which gives every occupant a free "in town" bus pass. This is a great thing to have in such an easily accessible town like Salzburg. Fourthly, they provide a "luggage room" that allows you to keep your luggage safely before and after you check in. This a must have! Lastly and most importantly, the customer service was impeccable. Igor was the epitome of great customer service. He was friendly, helpful, patient and professional. He reminded me that great customer service still does actually exist, although rare. We do have some "criticisms" of the room. The "exit sign" by the front door is far too bright. And there is quite a bit of street noise at night (people walking by) and early in the morning (trash trucks and delivery trucks)."

"The hotel was in an amazing location just across the river from the Altstadt. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we checked in until we checked out. The property is very well maintained and the amenities are great. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but the lobby bar was great for drinks. We did eat at The Sacher Grill and the food and service were 5*."

"Great shower. No counter space in the bathroom but lots of shelving space right outside the bathroom. The hotel is close to everything we wanted to walk to. The morning staff person was so funny and helpful. The staff spoke English well which is wonderful because I do not speak German."

"Hotel staff very friendly. They did the restaurant recommendations and reservations for us. Breakfast was great, room is big and clean. The hotel is close to everything you want to do. 18 minutes walk to top of the fortress. Complementary coffee/tea at the hotel was much appreciated. "
