Perfect Hideaway on a SNOWY day **snowshoes PROVIDED with your winter rental** or the day with the most SUN! This ALL SEASON cabin will be the perfect location for your relaxation or adventure (or work from home with a new location with WONDERFUL Wifi in the mountains)! How 'boutcha Hideaway at WILD BASIN is simply that: a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of life and a space to make memories with those dearest to you!

Rememeber: you are renting our CABIN, not a hotel room. A WHOLE HOUSE, in the mountians, that is an all season escape!! We ask that you gather as many memories as possible and care for our home like your own. We highly respect our cleaning crew and will expect you to do the same. Any extra mess, laundry, on hassle for them will be directly charged to you!

From the doorstep of the cabin, you can walk, snow shoe, or sled right out into world class hiking that RMNP provides. At the foot of the trailheads of Longs Peak and Mount Meeker, as well as all of Wild Basin. Hike difficulties range from easy with picnics along the St. Vrain river to difficult hikes up to 14000ft peaks of world class multi pitch rock climbs!

Our cabin hideaway is cozy for couples or families of any age range. We are a young family and will have items for babies, toddlers, and pre teens to teens all located in the cabin so it's less for you to pack! The hideaway will comfortably accommodate families of 2-4 people with all the amenities of home! The deck and large yard off the back door provide quiet solitude in the early mornings and evenings as you also listen to the St. Vrain river running close by!

The ground floor level hosts a beautiful galley kitchen with an open floor plan to the dining room and living room. Our kitchen will allow you to prepare any meal of choice as we have it fully stocked with all the itensils you may need! If youd rather not cook, our table and bar provide perfect seats for your meal you bring in. Cozy up by the fire in the living room and enjoy a football game in the winter. The open floor plan is also ideal for multiples games which are also already at the cabin for your conveninece. The bedroom on the main floor has a Queen bed as well as a Twin over Twin bunk bed with plenty of space. The closet in the bedroom houses the items you may need for your little traveler to make memories with new blocks, toys, sleds and books. The bathroom on the main floor has a double basin and a large shower. Upstairs you will find 1 more bedroom and another bathroom. The upstairs Master WALKS OUT onto a deck overlooking the yard! The closet in this room provides a pac n play, highchair, stroller etc. You will find ample space to sleep your young travelers with memories and bedtime stories galore! Or take a break as a couple as enjoy quiet moments together. The bathroom is smaller but very functional for upstairs guests. We have updated all bedding to keep a rustic but modern feel for our guests!

******SNOW: Remember if you're traveling in the winter, we are a mountain cabin. We DO have snow removal on our roads, but please plan your vehicle accordingly!******

Wild animals within a short walk or in the backyard include elk, moose, deer, raccoons squirel, humming birds, and bear (Of course no guarantee, but keep your eyes ready! You never know what you might see!)

Activities such as mountain biking, fishing, horse back riding, and hiking are all right out of your front door step! Fish in the St. Vrain River, or one of the dozen post-card beautiful Alpine Lakes near by. Hire a fishing guide or take your family horse back riding right around the corner at the stables! After a beautiful day in the mountains you are a close 2min drive to Allenspark where you will find wonderful pizza or a mountain cafe, all food types in Estes Park just a short 15 minute drive up the road, or travel just a bit further for a fresh brew in Boulder or wonderful pizza in Nederland!

If you're coming for a wedding at Wild Basin Lodge, we would love to host your family and you can walk straight down to the event less than a quarter mile.

The setting around our hideaway cabin is absolutely stunning in all seasons!

We named this cabin out of respect of a legacy left by our grandfather who used to call to our grandmother on the CB radio on a rural Nebraska farm, "How boutcha' Marie" as he would get her attention. You will find pictures in the hideaway respecting the legacies of our different sets of grandparents as we remind you: "How 'boutcha Hideaway!"

Little Cabin in the Woods
My wife and I, her brother and sister-in-law, and our dogs, spent 2 peaceful nights here in the woods. Real nice location, within walking distance to RMNP. Also, a short drive to other hiking trails outside the Park. In addition, a short drive to the small town of Allenspark, CO. where we visited The Old Gallery and attended a bluegrass concert inside the gallery one night. Overall we loved the place and the area and will return someday.

We brought some Arkansas friends with us to show them the RMNP area and stayed at Emily's for a couple of days. It was a wonderful, clean, quiet place that gave us great access to the Park and the beautiful area. We really enjoyed our time there.

Steps from hiking trails!
Walking distance from RMNP wild basin entrance! Surrounded by trees but still close to so much! A short drive to Estes and minutes from so many trails. The cabin was super clean and comfortable. Loved the hummingbirds hanging around the feeders on the deck. So appreciated the prestocked coffee waiting for those mornings on the deck! The kitchen is fully stocked with any appliance you may need to eat in. Definitely will be back!

Family time
We had such a great stay. The cabin was clean and inviting. My uncle has had a lot of health issues over the past year and being able to get away was the recharge we needed. We had been looking forward to time away since February and we were not disappointed. Due to these health issues we had to change our date and Emily was accommodating and flexible. Thank you Emily for working with us regarding the dates and for sharing your cabin with us. We look forward to returning to the Hideaway!

What a great place, perfect
This place was exactly what we were looking for - remote enough, yet close enough to everything. Close to RMNP for nice hikes. Directions were a little confusing but overall this place is exactly what is advertised. Host communications were impeccable, they are very interested in making sure their renters have a good experience.

This VRBO is exactly what my family needed. Everything was perfect, everything worked, and everything was clean. We had zero issues with the wifi and the kitchen had everything you need for cooking and staying inside. The host communicated quickly and respectfully throughout the process. We really enjoyed the small balcony from the upstairs room. The views were amazing and just minutes away from Estes Park. A quiet and cozy place to enjoy!

Lovely cabin in the woods
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cozy cabin. We were visiting our adult kids and chose to go to the mountains. This cabin is well-equipped and very cozy. It was perfect for our purposes. It snowed the night of our arrival, just enough to make it beautiful. We drove around to view the mountains. We visited Estes Park. And spent a day hanging out in the cabin due to some high winds. I definitely recommend this home.

The cabin was very nice, it was less than a mile from Wild Basin Entrance to RMNP. TV and internet worked great, kitchen was fully stocked. One warning there are bears in the area and I made the mistake of leaving my car unlocked. A bear rummaged through the car. All was ok and just made for a great story.

Lovingly maintained rustic cottage steps from Wild Basin
Everything was exactly as described plus the bonus of active/accurate communications from Emily, easy in/out, thoughtful touches for family and just the right distance (20 min) from commercialism of Estes Park with very short distance to Wild Basin either to walk in during "protected" hours or drive over before 9am/after 2pm when passes are not needed. So much fun to watch the hummingbirds.

Cute Cabin Away from Touristy Spots
The cabin was great. Sweet, cute, and the owners paid great homage to their grandparents; the love is evident! We were able to ride our bikes into the Wild Basin entrance to RMNP, which was a treat. There is a natural spring in Allenspark (very nearby). Bring water jugs to fill them up!!! The pub is Allenspark was nice, go there! There is also the beautiful Chapel on the Rock with a cute coffeeshop (great coffee!). We attended Fri. 8:30am mass, and got coffee most days. Though the cabin is farther from Estes Park & the 2 main entrances to RMNP, we wouldn't have found the gems I just described if we hadn't stayed there. I recommend this cabin for more peace & serenity! The dishwasher was broken so I handwashed dishes, but it wasn't the end of the world. Thank you Emily, we had a great time!

Great little cabin near the Rockies
We had a good stay here. It’s a twenty-minute drive from Estes. The cabin was clean and the communication from the host was great. WiFi worked well and they have a big dining table great for family game time. We didn’t love the master bed and didn’t sleep great in it, but everyone’s mattress comfort is different. We grilled one night and the grill worked great. It was a good place to stay.

Prefect Christmas Vacation
Emily is an amazing host. Her communication before, during and after our stay ensured there was never an issue or miscommunication. It snowed quite a bit the day we were driving up and she was very proactive in communicating the snow plow status so we could make sure our trip wasn't derailed. From helping prepare for our stay (Christmas decorations were included!) to a very detailed binder and noted throughout the home this couldn't have gone better. The home itself was absolutely amazing. Just right for Mom, Dad and 3 adult/teenage kids plus a few family pets. Our goal was for an intimate family Christmas full of games, family time and got visits and that's what we did. With all the snow we didn't spend much time out of the cabin but there are plenty of outdoor activities right out the door or a 20 minute drive to Estes Park. Will deuterium be wanting to stay again. Love love love!!!
