About this property
Secluded Cabin near Wild Basin
Beautiful 3 Bedroom 2 bath house buried in the pine trees on 4 acres near Wild Basin and Estes Park. Wild Basin (Rocky Mountain National Park) entry road just 200 yards down highway 7 from Tahosa Park South Rd. This is a recreation enthusiast's dream without being too close to the city. Close to fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, and guided horseback tours just a mile down the road at Meeker Park Lodge. The master suite includes full bath, walk in closet and private deck with views of a spectacular ridge. The lower level Queen room has access to lower bath and boast great views from the french doors to the exterior. The dual full sized bedroom has it's own private desk for those who may have to work from home. The home has a huge deck with built in dinning table, pellet grill and adirondack chairs to lounge. The basement living area includes 60" TV on Apple TV. The couch is a Queen pull out. There is a wood insert upstairs for entertainment and heat. The basement includes full laundry machines. The upper level has fully remodeled kitchen with new appliances and a dinning area in the kitchen. The main living area has an 82" Smart TV hooked to Apple TV and DVD player. The DVD collection is around 200 movies strong. There are two desk areas flanking each side of the stone fireplace with wood burning insert for asthetics and heat. Great cabin to work remotely and still get an afternoon hike up to Copeland Falls. There is abundant wildlife in the area including Elk, Deer, Moose and Turkey. This is also a great area to possibly see Black Bear. The drive to Estes Park is 15 minutes with stops along the way like Meeker Park lodge, Eagleplume Ute Indian shop, Longs Peak entrance,Saint Malo's Chapel on the Rock, Lilly Lake and the Twin Sister. In Estes Park you will find an up to date Safeway, Plenty of restaurants, Spas, and guide shops like Kirk's Flyshop (one of our favorites for many types of guided tours). Allenspark and Ferncliff are just a couple miles to the South and have three restaurants and small grocery/gas/liquor store. Allenspark also has an art gallery, a souvenir shop and the closest post office. Boulder County License # VR-24-0012

This home was spacious and comfortable! Quiet location allowed us to relax and unwind, but close enough to RMNP when we were ready to explore. Kitchen was perfect for preparing family meals. Great stay!
Very clean, great atmosphere and property in a wooded area. Great communication from Kevin. First time we stayed here and would definitely stay again. Thank you!
This secluded cabin in Colorado was exceptional! Often photos are misleading when looking on the site, but this cabin was everything it declared and more. Clearly recently updated, comfortable furniture, appliances were all relatively new, and Keven was very responsive. It can present a bit of a challenge to find the cabin off of the main road, but once you have the road down, it is an amazing place to stay. Highly recommend this cabin in the woods.
This place was extremely neat and clean. The house looked liked the pictures online. Would definitely stay again and refer to anyone!! A perfect home away from home! Host was very friendly and helpful also!
We have stayed at several properties around Allenspark. This was unquestionably the best. Very secluded, yet close enough to amenities. Excellent kitchen for family meals. Great deck. Comfy living room and a good fireplace for cold evenings.
Had an opportunity to get away for a quick 5 day / 4 night trip to Rocky Mountain National Park for some hiking. This home was available and was as advertised. Location and description were on point .
Everything we needed and more.
Great place and responsive management.
Thank you
Keven is a wonderful host. The instructions were clear, the communication was great. The home was clean and well appointed. It was a comfortable and welcoming place to be at the end of a long day of hiking! A bit off the beaten path of Estes Park, and highly recommended.
The property was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, which was perfect because of the remote location. Some of us drove and some of us flew inevitably we forgot some things. This property had it all waiting for us! The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was great, nice new appliances, and amazing views. Can’t wait to go back!
We are repeat renters and will be back! The location is just what we want as it’s secluded but has every comfort. Keven is an amazing owner and couldn’t be more accomodating. The house is spotless and well equipped with everything we could need. It’s spacious for two or eight! We live this area and house. Thanks to Keven for all his advice on making the most of the area.
This home in the mountains was perfect! When we arrived, it was sparkling clean. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and drinking our coffee in the mornings. It was convenient to Estes Park as well as Allenspark. I have come to the Allenspark area every summer since I was a young child. We have stayed in many places over the year, but this is our favorite!
Kevin was very responsive to our questions. Just all around a great experience.
We really enjoyed our time in this home. The home was clean and it was just as it was described in the listing.
The location was close enough to Estes Park and RMNP to be convenient, but far enough away that when we were at the house we felt like we could relax in the quiet. On two occasions we saw a moose meandering through the area from the house.
The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The rooms were comfortable. And we could enjoy our down time either on the deck or in the living room.
We would definitely stay here again.
We had a small family gathering in CO with my
daughter her husband and their 1 year old. This house was absolutely perfect! There was not one thing we needed that was not already supplied. The house was clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The location was perfect for where we wanted to be, close to hiking, trails, restaurants and shopping. We could not be more pleased with our experience. Hope to make this a yearly event and hopefully stay at this same place.
Very nice property in the woods! We had plenty of room for everbody to have their own recreation area. The kitchen was oufitted well, with both basic ingredients and condiments as well as cookware. We found ourselves without an iron and Kevin had one to us the very next morning!! We were very pleased the the accommodations and loved the location and the large climbing rocks on the property. We went into Estes Park everyday and found the drive beautiful, seeing deer, wild turkey and elk often. Would gladly stay again!
This house was PERFECT for our extended family! We were in the area for a large family reunion and found both the home and location perfect for us. Easy drive to Estes and loved being in more of a secluded area compared to the more populated Estes Park area. The kitchen had everything we needed and the spices were the best I have seen in a rental home. My only suggestion is that it would have been helpful to have access to a vacuum. We had a 15 month old and he kept picking things up off the rugs. Definitely recommend this property!
This was the perfect house for us (4 adults & 2 dogs) to explore RMNP and the surrounding area. We really liked that we weren’t in the middle of town and with crowds of people. The house is arranged perfectly for two groups to have privacy when needed because of the separate main level and lower level bedrooms and baths. We thoroughly enjoyed coming back to the house each evening and cooking dinner and playing games at the big kitchen table.
We stay at VRBO’s quiet often and this house is a definite favorite. If I come back to Estes Park this will be where I stay.
Bonus, the property owner is available and answers quickly if you have a question. And the neighbors are super nice.
Property extremely clean and well laid out. Area is about 20 minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Just a warning that there is little to no cell phone service in the Allenspark area where the cabin is located.
Property is very well secluded on a private drive. Kitchen well stocked with basics and nice pots and pans to cook for the entire family. Appliciances including washer and dryer were high end Samsung! Two Apple TVs were nice and gave us something to watch when we were rained in. WiFi at decent speeds but sometimes spotty in the house. Would highly recommend staying at this property.
The cabin is very comfortable in the woods. A little rough getting there but a great place once there. There were a few minor issues that were communicated with Keven. Working the TV was a challenge. My grand nephew was able to get live TV at one point but after he left, we couldn't get anything to work. Too much of a challenge for me to figure it out. Better instructions would be very helpuful.
