5 Bd Cabin W/ Private Hot Tub
Summary: Nestled in the beautiful rocky mountains is historic Ferncliff, Colorado. Come experience wellness in the wild and your home away from home with luxury linens/amenities, a private hot tub and a large family friendly cabin with everything you could need to escape to the mountains. The lodge is perfect for family gatherings as well as retreats. The Ferncliff Lodge aims to allow guests to escape the fast paced city life and relax for a few nights. Ferncliff sits a bit over an hour away from Denver, CO as well as just 20 minutes away from the town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, known for their rustic mountain charm and incredible hiking/sightseeing.
The Space: The Ferncliff Lodge offers 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that can fit up to 10 people comfortably. The cabin boasts a large kitchen fit for the whole family and dining room area fit with a historic piano. The living room offers a huge couch area with a bookshelf full of unique books and our personal record collection with over 200 options to choose from, as well as a wood burning fireplace and 65" smart TV. 3 of the bedrooms are downstairs while 2 are upstairs. Lastly the expansive backyard area offers a private hot tub with plenty of fenced in grass area to explore.
Guest Access: Your stay at Blue Spruce will be contactless, but we do have staff on call to help with any requests. 48 hours before your arrival you'll receive detailed check-in instructions including your code for the smart locks. There is no front desk on property. You'll have access to your reserved cabin, as well as the community hot tub area and deck.
The Neighborhood: Directly across the street from the property there's Ferncliff Food & Fuel, which is a small supermarket and gas station for any essential needs. In the summer, they're fully stocked with everything from toiletries to meats and pizza. There is also a laundromat across the street as well as a a liquor store with a great selection and 2 fuel pumps. There's a back entrance to Rocky Mountain Park a few minutes down the road as well as the entrance to Long's Peak. Within 15 minutes you'll find some of the best hiking and wildlife Colorado has to offer.
Getting Around: We recommend renting or bringing a car to best explore the surrounding areas. There isn't any public transit in the area until you get to Estes Park or Lyons. During the winter months, we strongly recommend a AWD or 4WD car whenever going to the mountains.
Other Things to Note: Ferncliff isn't a big mountain town, so we recommend bringing anything you need with you for your stay. If you forget anything, there's always the market across the street. Ferncliff is a rural town which means there's no cell service, but we do have high speed Starlink Internet on the property.
Interaction with Guests: When arriving at the property you will drive up Penny Ln until you see the 3 hotel style rooms in one structure. You can park up on the right in a parking space, or parallel to the building, making sure not to block the road. Head to you unit, press the Yale logo, and put in the last 4 digits of our booking phone number or the code that was previously sent to you. If the lock gives you any trouble, try entering the code again while slightly pulling the door towards you.

Our family ranging in age from 3 to 80 spent a week here during the Christmas holidays. We loved the cabin vibe, large living spaces, and modern conveniences. The bathrooms are beautifully updated as are the kitchen appliances. The host provided some holiday decorations for us and we enjoyed hours of games and movies in the common spaces. We had a great stay!
We spent a week at this cabin on June. We liked having a quieter spot that was still only a quick drive to all the activities in Estes. The hosts were very helpful and responsive to anything we needed during our stay. WiFi worked well in the cabin, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were beautiful and showers with the rain shower head felt so good after a day of hiking. We are so grateful for the week of family memories that were made this past week!
As promised, this large cabin is nestled in the mountains in a tiny town away from the hustle-n-bustle of tourism. The kitchen/dining/living space and each of the 5 bedrooms were spacious enough for a multi-family get-together. There were plenty of dishes, silverware and glasses + a fully equipped kitchen for cooking meals (but no microwave to nuke any leftovers - instead, there is a toaster oven). The kitchen and 2 showers are beautifully remodeled. Bathrooms are a bit limited on space but well stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash/facial tissue/bath tissue. The hot tub and wood fireplace were the highlights for us; however, one of the hot tub's jets was malfunctioning so only half the hot tub bubbled. **IMPORTANT: I highly recommend you do ALL of your grocery and supply shopping before coming; once you arrive, your retail options are very limited. Understandably, firewood from the shop across the street is limited to 3 small bundles per day. Bring water; a 24pk of bottled water at the shop was pricey. ALSO, be sure to screenshot the door passcode when you receive it; there's NO CELL SERVICE to check your email or instructions or make calls once you arrive to the cabin (there is wifi once you get in). I plugged "Ferncliff Food & Fuel" into GPS and got there with no problems. The host was more than accommodating, quick to address questions and concerns. My only regret is that our trip was cut short unexpectedly so we didn't get to enjoy the cabin beyond the first night.
Great stay for a large group! Plenty of room for everyone and great kitchen for cooking. Only two bathrooms but they are very nice! Quick and easy communication with the host.
Everything was wonderful. The outside is a bit deceiving when you pull up, but it was the perfect place for our family. fireplace was wonderful as well as large Kitchen and dining table. if we go back to that area we would definitely book again.Thank you.
We enjoyed a brief family reunion at this cabin in the tiny town of Ferncliff, just 20 min south of Estes Park. The bathrooms are updated, the beds were comfortable, the backyard turf was nice for yard games. Hiking nearby. The cabin is very rustic and rugged. It fit our needs.
