The best area to stay in Alfacar is generally in the heart of the village, particularly around the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.This central area offers convenient access to the village's main amenities. You'll find local shops, traditional bakeries, and several restaurants within a short walk. The church itself is a prominent landmark, and the streets around it maintain a traditional Andalusian feel with white-washed buildings. For couples seeking a quiet and authentic Spanish experience, staying in the village centre is ideal. You can enjoy strolls through the historic streets, sample local cuisine at tapas bars, and experience the relaxed pace of village life. It's also a good base for exploring the nearby Sierra de Huétor Natural Park for outdoor activities. For those looking for a family-friendly stay, properties slightly outside the immediate village centre but still within Alfacar can be a good option. These often provide a bit more space, sometimes with private gardens or pools, while still being close enough to walk into the village for essentials.
