The best area to stay in Aldeia Nova is within the central part of the village, particularly around the main square and the streets immediately surrounding it.

This area is the heart of Aldeia Nova and offers a traditional Portuguese village experience. You'll find a few local cafes, a small grocery shop, and the parish church, all within easy walking distance. The streets are generally narrow and cobbled, reflecting its historic character, and the pace of life is relaxed.

For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying near the main square is ideal. It provides a quiet base to explore the local area, enjoy leisurely meals, and experience the local culture without the hustle and bustle of larger towns. The proximity to walking and cycling routes in the surrounding countryside is also a plus for those who enjoy outdoor activities.

Families looking for a relaxed holiday will also appreciate this central area. Accommodation here often includes villas or guesthouses with private gardens, offering space for children to play.

The best time to go to Aldeia Nova is during late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

These shoulder seasons offer warm, sunny days superb for exploring the region without the intense heat and larger tourist numbers of July and August. You'll find temperatures ideal for outdoor activities, and the countryside around Aldeia Nova is particularly beautiful during these months, with blooming wildflowers in spring or the start of the harvest season in autumn.

For those who enjoy a lively option and don't mind warmer temperatures, the peak summer months of July and August are also very popular. The Algarve coast, a short drive from Aldeia Nova, is bustling with beachgoers and holidaymakers, and there are many festivals and events happening throughout the region.
