Enjoy a weekend away or seaside holiday at this attractive light and airy cottage just 150 yards from the beach and a short walk into the heart of this picturesque town. Interiors are well-equipped and furnished in a relaxed French-chic style with a sociable open-plan living/kitchen/dining room encompassing the ground floor, and a twin, shower room, and double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom upstairs.
Light floods the sociable kitchen/dining/living room with double doors at the entrance, a window onto Brudenell Street, and a skylight.
The lower half of the room is well designed with a dining table and six chairs to one side and kitchen units running along one wall housing an electric oven with four ring gas hob and extractor, a fridge (three shelves and a veg drawer), freezer (four drawers), and a dishwasher. Additional appliances include a Nespresso machine (original style pods), a microwave, a toaster and the essential kettle!
Take a step up to the beautiful living area, furnished with a couple of comfy sofas, chairs and occasional tables surrounding the fireplace and the large TV which has Sky channels so you can choose your favourite programmes. There’s also a desk for guests needing to do a spot of work or studying whilst on holiday.
HALLWAY
Off the living space is a hallway with a door to Brudenell Street and relatively steep carpeted stairs rising straight to the first floor with a banister to steady you. You’ll also find a utility cupboard tucked under the stairs with a Bosch washing machine and dryer.
FIRST FLOOR
This split level floor has a shower room and the twin bedroom at the top of the staircase before a further four steps up to the double with its en-suite bathroom at the back of the house.
SHOWER ROOM
Good use has been made of this modern shower room which has a shower cubicle with fixed shower head, a WC, a wash basin, and a heated towel rail (towels are provided for all guests.
TWIN BEDROOM
Sturdy twin beds sit either side of the ornate fireplace and there’s space for your clothes in bedside units, and a hanging rail with a shelf and baskets for undies.
DOUBLE BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE
The attractive wrought iron king size bed sits under the window with bedside units, a dressing table, and a wardrobe with plenty of room for you to unpack and settle in.
A quaint porthole window sits above the bath in the en-suite which also has a rain-shower over the bath, a WC, and a wash basin.
OUTSIDE
Whilst there’s no allocated parking here you can pull up at the back of the house by the double doors to offload, then drive round to find parking. There’s Fort Green car park close by, as well as street parking where some is unrestricted, other on a two-hour time limit so please look for the signs.
A couple of tables and chairs sit by the kitchen doors of this charming mid-terraced a holiday cottage so you can sit outside to enjoy your morning coffee. The front door is directly opposite the back of The Brudenell Hotel and you’re welcome to use it if it’s more convenient, particularly if you fancy a morning coffee in the sunshine on The Bru terrace!
