Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19  travelling today comes with a few extra challenges. Keep in mind the following information before hopping on your plane to Al Maryah Island:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking your flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll have to follow on arrival, such as health testing.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to lower your mask temporarily for identification purposes.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, you should position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• You can now take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll need to remove it for X-ray screening.
• Empty your personal items from your pocket, like your wallet, coins and keys, and put them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Food items often set off the alarm. Placing them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to handle and inspect your belongings.
