"This property is excellent fresh modern reasonable and a brilliant view . It’s close enough to everything but you feel like you are the better side of Scarborough. Local dining at the Hideout Bar excellent food and breakfast just a 5 min walk away . Good for the open air theatre cricket club and peasholme park . "What a lovely place, we hired a beautiful Bell tent for 2 nights. It was set up with all the essentials on our arrival. The plot had plenty of space around to set up bbq room and room for kids to play. The site, washrooms and kitchen were like new, very well maintained regularly cleaned. I have a pet allergy so the no pets policy was a great bonus here for me too. We had a great time and will book again. Thank you. "

"We had a stay in a seaview inter connecting room with my daughter and grandchildren. The room was absolutely fabulous. Newly decorated, beautiful clean fluffy carpets, great beds and a to die for sea view. Breakfast was lovely and had lots of choices even for gluten free. We used the bar too. Was fabulous I wouldn't hesitate to return we had a fabulous stay thank."

"I have to say the royal is ( was ) a grand hotel,it is in a prime location,has a lot of style, it's showing its age in a lot of places . They're in the midst of trying to make the bedrooms more attractive. There is scaffolding on one side of the hotel not sure what they're doing but there is plenty to do in sure. We booked one of the standard rooms because it had a seaview,it was basic but ok for one night. The food in the restaurant was very nice and there's an extensive choice in the bar, excellent service throughout. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would choose the royal again but definitely one of the refurbished rooms."

"Staff were so polite, helpful and friendly. The room was a great size for two people, it was clean and well maintained. Everything you need for a 2 night stay. Comfortable, good size bed and adequate storage. Location is on a main road but is very quiet considering and has the bonus of buses running regularly, so no need for the car. We had breakfast which had mainy options and money off if you prebook. Real lovely and very affordable."
