A wonderful villa with unique panoramic sea view to the gulf of Mirambello, 3 min walk from gorgeous beaches. The view that you can enjoy from up there is unique since you can see the sea and the town of Ag. Nikolaos.

Istron village, famous for its fantastic beaches, with plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets. Three of the most fabulous beaches of Crete, Ag. Patnteleimon,Karavostasi and Voulisma are 300 m away. All the beaches have been awarded with the blue flag and are maintained by the Municipality.

Wonderful terrace
Ten great and perfectly relaxing days in Manolis' pleasant, well-equipped and well-positioned house. Manolis was extremely helpful throughout. Delightful meals at Kavos Taverna.

A Week in May 2018 at Istron
We did wonder how we were going to find the property but Manolis was true to his word and we were met at the "Friends" Cafe at 1200 midnight and shown to the apartment and given information about how things worked and recommendations of where we might like to visit. The apartment was well appointed (loved the dishwasher!) and the beds comfortable. The apartment is convenient for all the local shops and beaches and has good car parking facilities. The outside space is small and a bit restricted, but you do get a view of the sea which is good. There is some traffic noise during the day but we were mostly out and about so it wasn't too bad. The bottle of Raki in the fridge was a surprise and only discovered towards the end of the holiday as we thought it was a bottle of water! The honey and cake we had been left all went down very well too. A good holiday!

Nettes Häuschen mit herrlicher Terasse
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in der Villa Irene. Es war im Prinzip alles wie beschrieben und so, wie von uns erwartet. Die Einrichtung war zweckmäßig, Klimaanlage, Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine haben gut funktioniert. Die Ausstattung war zweckmäßig und für vier Personen in Ordnung. W-Lan hat eigentlich immer funktioniert, manchmal vielleicht etwas schwach, aber für unsere Zwecke hat es gereicht. Wir haben vor allem die große Terrasse genützt und sehr genossen. Der Blick über die Bucht war herrlich und die nordseitige Ausrichtung durchaus von Vorteil. Die Umgebung war ruhig und auch die nahe Durchzugsstraße hat man nicht wirklich gehört. Der Ort Istron selbst hat sicher schon bessere Tage erlebt, man hat aber durchaus alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub benötigt. Für uns war es als Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Ausflüge ein idealer Stützpunkt, man benötigt allerdings ein Auto! Wem es am Abend zu ruhig ist, der ist in zehn Minuten in Agios Nikolaos. Die umliegenden Strände sind zwar zu Fuß erreichbar, sind grundsätzlich sehr schön, waren jedoch aufgrund der Witterung/Strömung leider nicht wirklich top. Der sogenannte "Golden Beach" aufgrund seiner Bewerbung in den Reiseführern immer total überfüllt und das Wasser leider auch bei entsprechender Strömung dreckig. Mit dem Auto ist man in zehn Minuten aber schnell an netten Stränden. Für uns waren es zwei wunderschöne Wochen!
