Ox Hotel Manchester
8/10 Good
"Very impressed for the price and it was pleasantly surprising to see how clean and kept it was inside the rooms and throughout "
"Lovely b and b.
Friendly staff.
Only things that would of been even better:
Kitchen open for dinner, although i guess its because its not busy at all.
Breakfast was cooked to perfection and although it was very tasty would be good to have more choice especially for the price, e.g yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit and maybe something like an omelette instead of full english but thats just personal choice!
A bigger bath towel and a hand towel is needed and somewhere to put shower gel when ln the shower. The shower was lovely tho.
A great overnight stay tho and very comfy bed!!"
"This property was perfect for our needs, working at a conference in the city. We arrived 9pm and left early both days, so just needed a place to sleep. Private carpark round the rear of property. Close to metro (tram) stop and an easy 20 minutes by car from the city centre (less for Salford Quays or Old Trafford). Apart from check-in we never saw anyone during our weekend stay. Host was contactable by mobile if we needed (which we didn't). Self service breakfast provided (cereals) as under new management so the kitchen was not up and running for serving breakfast. Totally silent at night, so we slept really well. Comfortable temperature all night on a very stormy wet weekend. Would definitely stay again if working an event in Manchester."
"After a very bad start.. Difficulty getting electronic doors open and the host being a bit unsympathetic I eventually gained access..
The studio was very well equipped.. However the television did not work.. Transport is easy and chopping area on the door step. I don't know if I would stay there on my next visit.. Gaining access was real faff. The stairs going up are very steep and not suitable for the elderly especially if carrying luggage "
