"Bar was nice. Inside and outside seating. Had a great dark beer. Did not spend much time in the room. The shower was great. Bed was comfortable. Too bad they did not include breakfast. Price was very high. This is a new hotel in the Villages and nothing else is there. The town is built but no stores or restaurants have moved in yet. Town square has nightly music but you have to bring your own chair. It's better to go to an established area of the Villages."

"The area was kind of run down, but not too bad. Overall the stay was nice. The breakfast was AMAZING! We did randomly receive a call one night asking if our jeep was parked under the awning. We don’t have a jeep. I thought that was odd since you have to put what you drive when you check in. "

"I will start by saying the front desk person from my check-in day was quite nice and helpful. I wanted to change my check-out date but could not because I had booked through Expedia. However, they allowed me to check-in early as a way to help balance my loss of money for the last night. Additionally, I will say there was a sign qualifying the Wingate had recently been purchased and was under going a remodel. I wish I had been made aware prior to booking. In fact, I would say the quality of location reminded me of a low-rent motel with enclosed hallways. In general, the common areas of the hotel were dirty, and I only ate breakfast one time. It was quite bad. To qualify, I did not try the waffles. Also, the vending machines were mostly empty so make sure to bring your own snacks...and there was only one functioning ice machine at the location. I had a malfunctioning light over my sink and requested it to be fixed during my check-in day. I stayed a total of three nights and it was never fixed or replaced. The front desk person at the time of my request asked me a question I thought was weird. He asked if they had my permission for the maintenance person to enter my room. In short, if I had paid $40 - $50 dollars a night, I would have been satisfied and given them a 4 or 5 star rating. However, I did not, so I am given them a 2 rating."

"Very clean! Great communication! We were there for two nights and didn’t see one bug, which is amazing for Florida homes! This will be our go to home in the area! Beds are very comfortable, towels are great, water pressure is amazing! They provide pump bottles of hand soap, body wash, conditioner, and shampoo! Only a few check out rules so super easy to follow: collect trash, throw towels in shower, move anything back you moved, and turn thermostat back to 76. Host were great! Very quiet neighborhood, we didn’t hear much noice from the road at all. We are so glad we got to rent this home! "
