"This hotel was fantastic! We were really able to relax and do nothing for a few days. Highly recommend! I do have couple of complaints. Apparently the beach in front of the hotel has had crocodiles and the front desk did not let us know. There are also no signs. Another guest told us they had removed 2 the day before we arrived. I feel like they should have told us. The other complaint was the hotel plays music in the pool areas which is fine. However, they allow people to also play their own portable speakers creating a terrible cacophony and not very relaxing atmosphere. The last complaint has nothing to do with the hotel but with the predatory practices at the airport. I had never been there before and while looking for a sign the taxi company I had booked, a bunch of people were standing just as you walk out pretended to be helping me find my company. Instead they lead you to someone who offers you shots of tequila and showing you discounted tour and entertainment options in exchange for going to a free breakfast at another hotel. I fell in their trap. I was in vacation mode and my defenses were down. I paid for a discounted excursion. I wasted more than half a day of my very short vacation visiting a cheesy hotel (Vidanta) that tried to sell me a timeshare. And the excursion turned out not to be the one we paid for. It should be illegal. I learned my lesson. Won’t happen again but now I feel the need to warn everyone."
