"Great location"
We enjoyed our stay at the Kampung resort and the hospitality of the staff. The drive to ubud was 15-20 minutes and safe. You have the opportunity to visit a lot of local stores as you drive down. The room is not as big the posting claims, but still much larger than what other hotels might offer.

Nice place. Located on the happening Monkey Forest road with great access to bars and restaurants. Good service and hospitality. Lenin can be a bit cleaner. Toiletries for a hotel and spa were a little below par. But overall good experience.

"Lush Oasis of Tranquility."
Highly recommended bargain in bustling Ubud - we spent 4 nights and loved it! Very friendly, helpful staff, always smiling :-). New guests are greeted with a gong in the lobby. There's only 29 rooms/suites but the grounds are quite large. The hotel provides a free shuttle van six times a day to the heart of town across from Ubud palace and market ~1.5 miles away along busy roads mostly filled with shops, restaurants and some homes. Airport pickup/drop-off and various day tours with private, English-speaking drivers are available through the hotel; entrance fees (e.g., for temples, parks) are separate but small. Free breakfast and room service. Small refrigerator in the room. The resort is built on a hillside along a river with many walkways and stairs. There's about a hundred stairs to get from the lobby entrance area down through the site to the river. It's challenging for anyone with mobility limits, but the staff is happy to help as needed. Exotic décor is a mix of Hindu and Buddhist influences. Ornate carved wood doors, hardwood constructs, stone and tile work throughout. Two beautiful, very clean pools, one with a swim-up bar. Restaurant, spa, and recreation pavilion (billiards) just above the river. Everything is inexpensive, about half of USA costs or less. Stay here, get relaxed and happy!

"Nice quiet comfortable hotel in the centre of Ubud"
If you look Sri Bungalows on Expedia website, you'll see all these beautiful photos and it is like that, just beautiful superior and deluxe rooms and suites. I notice only 1 photo of the Standard room and no photo of the restaurant part. And that's my issue with Expedia, The standard room (we booked 7 nights in a std room) should be called basic room. It is clean and the bed is comfortable enough, but there's no minibar (we had a small fridge with bottles of water), noisy A/C and a old bathroom (no photo either) with plumbing issues. No mosquito nets in the room, no kettle. The restaurant and its breakfast menu are basic too (we ended up with the same breakfast for 7 days), no buffet. But the hotel's grounds are perfect, especially in the new section. The pools are clean and pleasant, especially the bigger one in the newer section. Beautiful rice fields and its ducks around. The staff is very nice and helpful, and there's good taxis working with the hotel. The free wifi is rather temperamental: works ok in the morning, pretty dodgy in the evening. But the whole town has issues with the internet, not just this hotel.

"Nice hotel pity about the toilet"
The hotel was spacious, had a charm and the staff were friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the centre of the town was good as it was too far to walk. We enjoyed our meals. We experienced problems with our toilet immediately it was first used, the tank would not refill. This was reported to the reception who had someone look at it. No repairs were done and we were advised that the owner did not want to spend money. It resulted in us leaving the top of the cistern off and having to manually pull a chain to get the cistern to fill. We requested another room however were advised non were available. Value for money.
