"The hot tub was definitely hot. This is the first hotel that truly had a heated swimming pool. It was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was nice and clean and organized. The hotel itself was nice and clean and professional. The surroundings areas were under construction around the hotel. So that was unpleasant visually. Not the hotel's fault. It was the areas around him that was doing construction"
"Staff is Great...Very Clean Comfortable rooms,TV is Great because there cable package allows you to use your Smart Phone to hook up to YouTube or YouTube TV or even Max by useing your existing account.....Nice and Quite..."
"The staff was friendly and thorough. The rooms were clean and the location was perfect for our visit to a Tuscan village event. The only complaint..if you call it that, would be the room was a bit dated and had some loose wallpaper and chipped corners on walls. Accessible outlets by the beds would have been helpful too. Even with that, the rooms smelled clean and fresh and the beds were comfortable and nice. we just stayed 1 night and didn’t utilize any amenities. The gentleman in the office kindly let me leave my vehicle in the lot for the day while we attended our event and explored the local area. It was a good choice for our plans and we were satisfied with our stay."
"Property was pretty clean, there was a couple of functions going on that night that made for a very busy lobby area, breakfast was 3 out of 5, pool area was small and very crowded. "
"My friend and I just wanted to get away for the night! So we only stayed one night but we hung out on the hot tub made friends and had a blast! The hotel is great. I didn’t have the breakfast cause I slept in. The shower is awesome. The water pressure was amazing. I didn’t give it a five stars just because five would be perfect"
Residence Inn by Marriott Portsmouth Downtown/ Waterfront
8/10 Good
"Great location and staff was pleasant. We stayed at a room near the elevator and the elevator beep sounds like a doorbell. It woke me from a sound sleep and since it repeated so frequently, I stayed awake. This may be something that was not brought to the hotel’s attention. "
