"On checkout we were charged an amenity fee of $35 plus tax for the use of the pool. Nothing was said about that on the website. Reached out to Alex and never got an answer as to why we were charged for something that was suppose to be included in our room charge."

"Super cute and clean home down the street from the northeast entrance of Joshua Tree National Park! Super convenient for visiting the park! We really appreciated having a kitchen and backyard to relax in after a day of hiking. We enjoyed the hot tub. There is also a pool which was a little too cold to use during our stay. Highly recommend "

"The photos of the house were a bit deceptive. I would describe the house as just old, very outdated & not well-maintained. Rust, gunky bathroom faucets & soap dispenser, dust bunnies, sagging cabinets, well worn rugs. No shade in the backyard. Traffic is rather loud from the front bedroom. Laundry is listed as an amenity, but may not have been available for guest use - - host didn’t reply to my inquiry to verify. The listing states that street parking is ample, however, a park ranger scolded us for parking on the street. Beds were comfy. Location is very conveniently close to entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Checkout process was simple. Checkin process required the old fashioned lockbox with keys. Restrictions to AC temp settings."

"The house is centrally located to stores, restaurants, and hiking trails. The hosts have considered almost every need that may arise while a person is away from home. The house is comfy, well stocked, with many ways to fill downtime- cornhole, fire pit, chess board and other board games. It helped us to make an unforgettable last minute visit to see my nephew who is stationed close by. I appreciate the host’s timely, thorough responses to my questions and the digital guidebook they provide their guest. "
