We arrived at the Gar de Lyon just before midnight after a train trip from Venice and were welcomed and granted a late checkout the next day. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the station. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and USB charging ports for devices. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of options and a huge range of good bread and pastry. Grand Hyatt Paris was a great choice to stay at. Modern and clean. Friendly multi-lingual staff. Train and metro station at the doorstep. Supermarket and alcohol store in the complex. Just two stops and 18 mins to Gare du Nord Eurostar station. Leisurely 15 min walk to Arc de Triumph and Champs Élysées. Easy metro trips to other iconic parts of the city including St Germaine. Rooftop bar and many food options for breakfast, lunch and tea. What’s not to like!

Quirky designer rooms and dining area located close to Pompidou Centre and Picasso Museum. Excellent value breakfast for 9 Euro a head. Street was a bit noisy but not a big problem. Close to two Metro Stations and many cafes, bars and restaurants.
