I chose this hotel because the pictures gave me the feeling that I would have a feel of Mexican tradition from the very start. When I got there, I could not have wanted more. The staff welcomed me and my husband as if we were guest in their home. The gentleman who brought our luggage into our room was Alex. He has a smile every day and is helpful in every way. Communicates both in Spanish and English. The rooms where big and comfortable. I did not encounter any traffic noise as our room faced the back and had a lovely terrace to look at. Which gave me the feeling on being in a very small resort.
I came for a family reunion and the staff helped me in every way. I'd come again and again.
One last note, the showers never went short on water or changed temperatures while showering.
Every day they came and really kept the rooms spotless. The breakfast buffet had plenty and was delicious.
Right across street from the very 1st mall ever in Guadalajara. Shops, restaurants, movie theaters etc
The only thing I found strange is that my friend came over around 11%30 pm. I was in Guadalajara for a wedding abs I had a few things fue the event, so she came to pick them up. She was not allowed to go up to my room. She called me on the reception's phone and when I told her to go up to my room. When she said - OK I'll be right over . I heard when a female voice said VISITING HOURS ARE OVER. . VISITING HOURS??? . I thought I had checked in at a hotel, not a hospital. That was my only issue
We had a 5-day stay, and would definitely return. Our room was spotless, excellent breakfasts served in dining room, and all staff were extremely helpful. The location was a plus with easy access to cabs and local bus. We found the roof-top deck a pleasant space to enjoy the outdoors beside the pool.
"Good business center, helpful staff, very good with english"
The business center is competently staffed 23 hr/day. English is no problem. There are two Fiesta Americana hotels in Guadalajara. I mistakenly booked the other one, but the staff was able to convert my reservation to the Minerva location. The only glitch is the hotel's WiFi connection is weak in some rooms, but the Starbucks adjacent to the hotel has excellent WiFi and is a fun place to work and eat.
