"The hotel is unique in decor. It is older, but very clean and antique decor. I loved it. We were pleasantly surprised to get a larger room. Very close to Central Park and Museum across the street. Also subway is close. We walked to the theatre district for a play. I was so happy to find that cleaning staff found my wallet. I had left it in the safe and staff had given it to the office. Condition is rather run down (dated decor; lumpy carpets installed over uneven floors; leaky faucets and old/wearing grout; cramped layout) but the bed and bedding are new and comfortable, and everything works fine. You can't beat the location, right across the street from Lincoln Center!! And an Amorino gelato opened recently next door, so your late-night post-opera snack is there for the trying!"
