Classy with a strong flavour of Bali, it's a sanctuary in the heart of Ubud. Most comfortable bed I've slept on for years. Great breakfast included and delightful attentive staff. The pool is excellent
I loved every moment of my stay here. Stellar room and view, yoga facility and pool are stunning, and the staff is the best I've seen in any hotel anywhere. They are so professional but also so kind. And the breakfast is to die for!

For every person that stays there are 10 staffers watching you. We felt uncomfortable by the way they treated us. It was an overly nice "we are watching you" way, which was strange since we are well dressed, respectable American businessmen. They don't seem to understand the American culture at all - we don't want to be followed and we don't want to sit in a restaurant with 4 staffers staring at us waiting for us to order something. What was particularly annoying is everywhere you go in the resort they ask you your room number - you probably get asked 12-15 times a day, no lie. Anyone else who stays here will understand exactly what I am saying. It's all just too much. Relax, you have a gated community and plenty of security people, you don't need to harass your guests and make them feel like they something isn't right.

I really enjoyed my very brief stay at the Anumana hotel. Perfect location next to the Monkey forest, surrounded by rice paddies and a lovely walk into town (10-15mins). Staff seemed attentive and on the ball. Make use of shuttle service into town and stroll back leisurely as the shops will entice your in or the many eateries will.
The hotel itself was decked out nicely. I had the plunge bath room which was enormous and had all the amenities that you need with a balcony looking over the pool. Only gripe that there wasn't any hot water in the evening about 9ish when I wanted to chilax and soak in the bath. ;-( First world probs I guess.
My friend and I stayed at the safari park and lodge for one night. We had an incredible time. The staff were very friendly and I was very impressed to be greeted by a personalised itinerary when we checked in. This really helped us to make the most of our time there. It was amazing to be chauffeured to dinner by an elephant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bali and would definitely go again!
Ubud is the arts and cultural centre of the island. This charming mountain settlement is 25 km (1 hour’s drive) north of Denpasar and comprises 14 villages dotted with palaces, temples, museums, galleries, shops, arts and crafts, and excellent restaurants. Other than a few nightspots, village life is quiet and serene. Don’t miss the nightly traditional dance performances and nearby Monkey Forest Park.
