Hotel was amazing , hotel staff were really friendly and attentative. I got ill when staying here and they called the doctor for me and were very caring and did everything they could to help. Menu w a s a bit limited but they would make something at request. Overall we had a wonderful stay in the deluxe pool villa.

Fantastic! Great staff, loved Mr Middle's yoga classes. Food is a little expensive but very good. Absolutely no other criticisms. We loved our stay here.

"5 days in Paradise"
At first I did not want to review these villas as I wanted to keep it a secret.... But the staff and resort deserve to be praised . This is a wonderful resort - only 8 Villas It is your own slice of heaven . Close enough to town to walk or hire a scooter and tour the streets and restaurants further afield . Very friendly and professional staff make you feel like your at home without intruding

"Very new, but no Bali flair..."
Hotel was very clean, but you could not feel any soul or passion as you would expect and see in other hotels on Bali. The room wS really big but not especially well furnished, lots of empty walls in the whole hotel - just doesn't make you feel cozy... Next to the hotel there was aa construction site which resulted in a huge heap of soil directly in front of our villa. Maybe not the hotel's fault - but another factor to not feel in a paradise... Overall a good hotel, definitely. But others just do it much better...

"A Hidden Gem!"
2 nights in Ubud seem too short when you stay at Plataran. A fabulous hotel that's worth every single dollar! Beautiful lobby, polite staff and mind-blowing views of the paddy fields from both their swimming pools. The room was clean and very well furnished - sexy bathroom as well! Nic, the hotel manager deserves extra credit. We couldn't get a single scooter as it was peak season. Nic took us in his car and went looking for a friend who runs a scooter rental company - all this at 8pm when he could've easily said wasn't his duty time anymore. We were given a personal scooter and even offered a tour around his beautiful house to get the Balinese feel. Location of the hotel is strategic - close by to local attractions. Stay here if you're in Ubud - no regrets!

"Good location, excellent staff, amazing."
Was an immaculate room with very helpful staff and excellent facilities. Is close enough to walk into Ubud and close to shopping facilities and is situated beside rice paddy fields which creates an excellent ambience. Included 3-course breakfast was again excellent, and would recommend for anyone going to enjoy a stay in Ubud.

"Amazing service that I've never had before"
Incredible from the moment we arrived. Staff continually thought of creative ways to make our stay better e.g. when they heard we were off for a day trip, they proactively (without prompting) made us a picnic to take with us. Staff were always trying to think of what we might want next... which typically involved another fresh juice whilst lying by the pool! Private dinner they organised for my wife and I in the gardens was spectacular. Spa treatments were excellent. Can not speak highly enough of this resort.

"Honeymoon stay - 2 nights"
An absolutely fantastic villa right in the heart of Ubud. We spent 2 nights at here in pool a villa as part of our honeymoon around Indonesia & Malaysia. It was absolutely perfect for our short stay in the cultural capital of Indonesia. The villa was absolutely stunning and the glass all around makes it feel very large in size and is great to see monkeys out of your window when you wake up! The breakfast was very good and lots of choice and pool was great for a refreshing dip. Definitely stay here if you are in Ubud!!

"Amazing staff"
Fantastic hotel and the most amazing staff! We booked a pool view room. Only down side was there was work going on next door and was really noisy! We asked to be moved and they did say they would upgrade us to a room away from the noise. We did look at it but we didn't think the room was as nice, so we decided to stay in the one we had. It looks like the work will be going on for quite a while, so take this into consideration if booking a pool view room. The pool we practically had to ourself and was lovely. It could do with cleaning each morning as flowers floating it in because they had fallen from the trees over night - But not a big issue. The only other down side to booking a pool room is you don't get the view you get if you book a villa, but obviously this is a lot more expensive. Over all the room was great, food was lovely and staff were amazing. If you can afford it then book a villa to get the view as it really is amazing! It is too far to walk to anything but the hotel does provide a shuttle bus that goes every hour from the hotel between 9-5 for free so that was good. Its a shame it doesn't do it later but you can just get a taxi back for about £4 after 5pm. We ate in ubud most nights as its cheaper and lots of choice!
