"Went to check in at the bar, was taken to the unmanned reception then forgotten about. Stayed on two occasions and happened both times. It seemed staff were more focussed on bar customers than staying ones. Staff got dinner booking times wrong twice and failed to inform me about the option for a larger cooked breakfast at Idle Rocks. "We were in one of the sea view rooms (room 119) and were blown away by the view. There was also a patio outside with table and chairs. Room was comfortable but not luxurious. Bed was good. Breakfast was also good, again with a tremendous view onto the harbour. The hotel has a maze of slightly dingy corridors, probably the result of various extensions over time, but that really didn't matter to us once we got our bearings"
