"Very beautiful, well appointed home. Serene, lots of wildlife, comfortable beds and great view from the deck. Both front and rear decks are nice with comfy furnishings. Lots of lighting too! Big showers and bathrooms in general. Kitchen was great for preparing food!"

"The cabin was perfect! The hosts really thought of everything right down to a kit in the bathroom with a nail file and q tips and as a woman with thick hair the blow dryer was perfect! The deck was beautful at night with the string lights and with only neighbors behind you it felt so secluded! Kitchen fully stocked, couches and bed so comfortable and the spare room set up for kids with a gaming system was awesome! All of this for a crazy good price! We definitely plan on coming back!!"

"From the time we saw this listing online, we knew it was the right spot for our anniversary get-away. The cabin is cozy and full of interesting artifacts, as well as very interesting books which we perused. The grounds were absolutely lovely, trees and flowers everywhere to enjoy. The pond and waterfall also added so much ambiance, it was just delightful relaxing on the patio, listening to the water. Tom and Cindy were the most helpful and friendly of hosts; how we enjoyed getting to know them....

However my son works high tech & there was absolutely no signals—we were totally cut off from the internet civilization which was sooo relaxing for a us retired folks. But, he kept having to drive down past Arnold to get a signal to check on his work….wifi was spotty at best!"

"We stayed at this property over the Memorial Day weekend and it was perfect for my family. The master bedroom downstairs with large master bath was great for my parents who have trouble with stairs. The upstairs bedroom with bunk beds was a hit with my two boys. And there was a pack-n-play that came in very handy for naptime for my brother’s little infant. "Each time we have visited we have been so happy with how well this cabin is stocked. We cook every night and the kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, cutlery and knives. Some essentials are always there as well. Everything is clean and it all makes for a great stay. Looking forward to our next visit."

"My wife and I stayed at Apache Pines in September for hiking and site seeing, and again in February to ski at Bear Valley. We like the house and its location and are likely to stay there in the future. Parking would be an issue in the winter if there are more than two cars. The lower level of the house has a bedroom, bath and family room which are great if traveling with kids. There is no master suite, the two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. This is a great place for a small group or family....

"We had a such a lovely visit to the Mountain House with our group of 8. It was clean, spacious, and a perfect layout for our group of two families. The kids had so much fun exploring the yard, playing air hockey, and sleeping in the bunk room. The adults were extremely comfortable in the two bedrooms upstairs. The master is suite is incredible. The property exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely return."

"We brought our kids and their kids. We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for us. The hot tub was amazing. The game room was so fun! We had Pac-Man enthusiasts that were very happy. Rooms were great and beds comfy. Hosts were attentive. Side note, there was some white dog hair on love seat…not from our brown dog! No problem just wanted to let you know. "This house was so beautiful! It was huge! It had so many amenities from the pool, BBQ grill, ping pong table, cornhole, pool table, basketball court, pickle ball etc. Absolutely loved the decor and how spacious the house was esp the kitchen. Great for large families. So many places to sit whether it be the large dining table in the atrium or in the kitchen. We even enjoyed the media room and watched movies together there. The kids loved to see the frogs in the pond. Everything was just perfect...
