"Nice hotel close to downtown and seaport village"
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel.we had excellent service, when we needed something, they were so prompt in providing it and delivering it to our room.
It was so convenient for our family and the concierge was so great and making sure that our every need was met. This is a five star hotel.
The only thing missing was free internet in the room and free breakfast. Plus airport shuttle but the other nice services it offered surpassed other hotels.
This is the second time I've stayed at the Sofia Hotel and you just can't have it better. Great location, walking distance to everywhere in Gaslamp and the train station. Great food places near by too. Staff and hotel bar great too. Love the old fashion decor as well in the rooms. I will be making a 3rd, 4th, and 5th stay here later in the future.
The Andaz is an amazing hotel in the prefect location to enjoy San Diego. The staff here we're fantastic and met every request we had, including hair curlers, nail clippers, tweezers, and lots of water. We were high needs this trip ;). Everything you need is included, and the wifi works really well. The only thing I would change is the pillows, they were a bit fat for our liking.
It is a very different experience, with each room customized (according to their website).
Through Expedia, I had booked the Imperiale Suite but forgot about it on the way to the hotel. We walk in and check out every aspect of the room because it was such a cool and different room. We noticed an open door on the other side of the room and see we have our own jacuzzi outside! I check the website and see we were put in the Fresca Spa Suite. It's private and the small outdoor patio is all to yourself.
We took advantage of some of the amenities because of the deal we got from booking through Expedia (popped a bottle of champagne that was in their mini fridge; used the espresso machine the next morning before checking-out).
Make sure to check out the printouts on the desk FRONT AND BACK. We were only there for one night and the morning we were checking out, I JUST saw all the amenities they offer on the back of one of the printouts (you can rent a Ferrari for the day!!!)
I feel the Keating caters more to couples, but it looks like a fun place to celebrate and stay with a bachelorette party
The next time I'm in San Diego,I will definitely come back and try out a different room and experience it for the first time all over again.
