“Content in Portland”

The location is great if you are attending anything at the Rose Garden. You are right behind the facility. Close to the bridge to downtown Pearl Dist. and just off of MLK Dr. So centrally located. The motel is older but our room was clean and we really only spent one night but I would go back.

“Good value”

Econolodge offers a convenient, clean and inexpensive accommodation close to downtown. Not appropriate for luxury lovers but ideal if you don't care about amenities and spend most time outside.

“The Maineman”

The location was very convenient; the morning coffee was great and the room was very clean and odor free. I will return for all the reasons noted especially the price comfort ratio which was high.

“Close to the Garden...”

This is a relatively inexpensive motel, within walking distance to the Rose Garden.. It is nothing special, but we just needed a place to crash after the concert. Friendly clerk, clean rooms. Small fridge, no microwave.

“Great location--lacks ambiance”

Sink & bathtub drained very slowly--bed comfortable--parking good-close to convention center and within walking distance of Max train to downtown.

“Decent Place For The Price”

The staff here was pretty nice. I didn't get the conenental breakfast each morning because I had other plans (sleeping in being one of those plans.) They could stand to add an hour to the contenental breakfast hours. Everyting was pretty clean. The only thing that really sucked was their WiFi access. It was spotty at best. I kept having to use my 3G connection.

“OK for a single traveler on a budget”

The shower was nice with a new curtain, plenty of hot water and a good flow. The fridge was welcome as were the free local calls. The woman at the desk was very helpful. The room smelled a bit musty but not too bad. It would not be a good place for romance.

“Ok, but Hungry.”

We approached the hotel from the south and saw a deserted lot and a dirty exterior wall. The signage was small. It had us worried that it was a dive. Around the corner it looked fine. Very dated but reasonably comfortable. Not a place you would head for in the evening to relax, just sleep. We found the beds comfortable and there was some exterior traffic noise. There was a promise of a continental breakfast but that was going to happen in the lobby at 7:00 a.m. The lobby was a room about eight fet be eight feet. We left a little after 7 each morning and nothing materialized. That factored into added cost for us as we had to eat out each morning. Not expecting that. No extras, just a basic "hit the hay hotel".

“Leftover Food In Fridge”

The only good thing about this hotel, was that it was in walking distance to where we needed to be (coliseum). When we got into the room, we opened the fridge, and there was a bunch of food left in there from the last occupants. Gross. Then I went into the bathroom, and there were hairs on the sink. Obviously the only thing the maid did, was walk in and make the bed and leave. We called the front desk and told her about the food in the fridge, and she came up and got it out. Didn't wipe it out or clean it, just, took the old food out. I told her that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned either it didn't seem, and she just kind of fluffed that off and said she has a new maid and, "Sorry". Not impressed, especially for the $125.00 this cost.

“OK for what we expected, except tub was filthy - cannot reccomend”

We went here for a concert so we were basically there for the location & price. We did have a fridge, but not a microwave. No ice machine available. Nearest fast food & coffee is about 5 blocks away. I thought the bed was sort of hard but it didn't bother my husband. The A/C wasn't the best but it was livable. However, the biggest problem was that in the morning, I went to take a shower and the tub was FILTHY. It had caked on dirt or grime, even under the tub mat. Considering it's mostly carpet, I'm not sure where this came from. We mentioned it to the desk clerk who said he would tell his boss. We would have stayed there again, especailly being so close to concerts (5 minute walk). But, because of the tub, we cannot reccomend this place.
