Rooms facing Macrossan St get loud noise from Courthouse Hotel live music. Starts at 9.30am on weekends and runs till very late at night, around 10pm. Makes room very unpleasant.

Live music is an integral part of Port Douglas’ ambience. We have put note in your profile if you stay again in the future, will avoid to put you in the room facing the Macrossan Street. Gem in the village
Service from re working from beginning to end simply made us smile! Over and beyond expectations. Some parts of property are getting old, tired and patched but it’s all still functional! Location, parking and the option of self serve laundry facilities, plus a pool, spa and sauna…. Then the service make it an amazing property to stay at :)))

Great location very central easy walk anywhere in town , Michelle was very friendly and helpful. Property is getting a bit dated and the rooms weren’t all that clean.

Hi Alison we do grade our rooms from the budget "tropic" which you stayed in, to our renovated "club" to our "suites" next time may we suggest you book a club or suite if you prefer a renovated room. and you can request a room facing the watergarden, all rooms are very clean, welcoming and very large for the style!

Great location and price, be prepared for the noise on the weekends as it is right amongst it, which is a good thing. It was disappointing that they did not offer free wifi for our stay and only gave us a 1g, which did not last long for 2 people.

Friendly, professional staff. My suite was excellent, besides some minor issues with cleanliness. Pool and spas were in great condition, with well kept surrounds. Sauna was unavailable for use, which was disappointing considering I wasn't made aware of this before my stay.

Location fantastic Apartments old, could be maintained better. Fans only had one speed (wet season - so humidity high and would have rather had fans than the air conditioner). Fridge old and leaked everyday - very slippery if not aware of this. Lighting very peculiar. If this apartment is privately owned, owners need to do some work on it. Pleasant stay.

Great location within walking distance to pubs and restaurants. The hotel is a little dated but we loved our accommodation. It was spacious, well set out, huge bathroom and great balcony that overlooked the esplanade. We loved that there was plenty of eating options including Coles supermarket with in 5 minutes walk. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone that loves to be in the heart of the action

Good location, we stayed for 10 days and unit was very hard to keep clean given the wet weather. Nothing dries in the climate & although self serviced apartments a minimum $4 charge each time you want to use the laundry. Kitchen was on the balcony which again given the climate is a bit tricky with bugs, birds & ants around.... fridge inside so contantantly opening & closing... no screen doors & they set the aircon temperature.

Enjoyed our stay it was very relaxing. plenty of space in the room, outside kitchen was great to use, Building very easy to access e.g getting to pool, laundry etc. 3 min walk to supermarket, main street and beach/park a stones throw away.
