"four " mature ladies ""
Three friends and I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The young staff were very pleasant and very helpful, nothing was any trouble to them. The rooms were clean and well ordered too. we enjoyed two evening meals the standard of which was fine. We chose to have the continental breakfast each day and whilst adequate it would have been better had there been some cold meats and a better selection of cheeses provided but overall it was fine. All told a pleasant stay.

"Really nice staff"
My friend and I stayed for three nights on what was intended to be a spa break but we didn't in the end use the spa. We went along but there weren't any price lists (always a bad sign in my experience). When we did ask for some prices we thought they were too expensive. Apart from that we had a wonderful time. The staff couldn't do enough for us, the food was fabulous. We were a little disappointed with our room, we would go for a higher grade room next time. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would definitely go again.

"I slept well. Pleasant staff."
This is a mid-price hotel with a nicely decorated dining room and adequate rooms conviniently located for Buxton town. Good value.

"Dog Friendly Hotel Right in the Heart of Bakewell"
Hotel a tad pricey but can accommodate dogs if you want to take pooch. Dog rooms are in the annex across the road but no issues there. If pooch is with you then Breakfast can be taken in the bar next to the Dining room and the Breakfast was fulfilling. Friendly staff.

"Ideal for Peak District"
Pleasant overnight stay in one of the cosy Stable double rooms to attend Family Christening locally in Parwich. Unfortunately did not sample the Breakfast but it looked and smelt appertising when we were checking out. Would stay again.

"Nice B&B but not really in Buxton"
This is a charming Peak District country house converted into a B&B and with self-catering accommodation. If you're coming from Buxton (which is actually about 5 miles away) don't be put off by the ever-narrowing 1/2 mile country lane which leads to it (the approach from the north is a shorter but equally narrow lane, but at least there's a sign, which there isn't on the other approach. The owner seemed pleasant but not especially friendly. The room (Needham) was large and comfortable furnished. My only complaint is that the central heating was turned off, so the room was quite chilly. The breakfast was fine. A selection of places to eat is available in Castleton, about 3 miles away down a quite steep hill. I ate at the Bull's Head - pleasant but nothing special. All in all, Rushop Hall is reasonable value, surrounded by beautiful Peak District countryside. And they have some great cats!
