We were an extended family - 1 x family 4, 1 x family 5 and a grandparent, and this was a perfect spot with a variety of bedroom options, 2 bathrooms, 2 indoor living spaces and 2 outdoor living spaces. Very enjoyable - lovely community and we used the pool daily."

"Great property, second time we have stayed and thoroughly enjoyed the location, views, privacy and peace and quiet. Only small negative is the master bedroom really needs new blinds or curtains as the current ones do not provide any privacy. Apart from this and a few scary creaks and bangs being a wooden house, would highly recommend the property for a relaxing break or longer term stay."

"Family break in lovely Pauanui. Motel is in a great location near to shops/restaurants and short walk to beach or mini golf. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Facilities are good….lovely pool area and tennis court and new games room. Would be happy to return. Carole is lovely…made us and our dog Dexter very welcome."

"We loved our stay at the property. The house has everything you need and was very clean and tidy. Peaceful neighborhood at least at this time of the year. Plenty of room for the kids to play in the park next to the house. Tuis visiting the trees of the property everyday was definitely a plus!! Highly recommended!"

"This cosy home was perfect for our young family. Lovely views, all the amenities - 2 bath, heat, wifi, grassed area. We enjoyed a bbq on the deck overlooking the water. We arrived on Good Friday and some friendly locals offered us a couple of beers to take home. Nice little seaside town. "

"Our apartment was fantastic, really comfortable with everything we could need. The complex was beautifully maintained and the managers very helpful and pleasant. We especially enjoyed the fantastic heated pool and spa. The heated pool meant that we could swim at any time and be comfortable and was a real highlight of our stay. "

FANTASTIC CHALETS HIGHLY RECOMMEND
"Grafton Cottage was so fantastic we changed our stay from 1 night to 3 nights after the first night. Albie (owner) is very personable and accommodating - just basically lovely. The chalet we had our first night was a cute bedsit and had a good view out over the bay. Full cooking facilities, lots of hot water and a spa & pool right by the door. After the first night we loved it so much we asked Albie if we could stay another 2 nights and he had a 2 story chalet free for us which he only charged the bedsit price. The view was even better. We spent 2 days sipping beer in the spa and reading as rain rolled over the bay - snug and warm and comfortable. We were on a bicycling trip and were able to securely store our bikes in the garage onsite and Albie ran us into town one night (rainy and cold) to go to dinner free of charge. We will definately stay there again and would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere in the Thames area."
