“great hotel very close to disney property”

The Waldorf was overall very nice and so was the service. We were there during a very busy time of year and except for a couple of rare occasions the overall stay was great, the faciities were great from the pool to the work out room. There is also a nice golf course steps from the hotel. The rooms were large and very nice.

“What a wonderful hotel”

The check in staff were polite, welcoming and friendly. Our baggage was brought to our room without any delay and the baggage man was extremely helpful He wore an earpiece and was able to communicate with the front desk at all times and so was able to confirm our requested dinner reservation while we were en route to our room. He also showed us briefly around the room and its features. We had a suite with a balcony overlooking the theme parks and so we were able to watch Disney's 9.30 firework display. Our suite was extremely nice and comfortable and our only criticism was that there was no mini-bar (although there was a fridge so we did put some juice and wine in it ourselves). We ate in the hotel both evenings and the food was excellent. I would also say that this hotel seemed to be good value for money. If I was to return to Orlando for business or pleasure I would certainly want to stay at this hotel again.

“Best Luxury Hotel I've Stayed At”

The Waldorf is an amazing hotel. We stayed here for four nights (received the 4th night free as part of Expedia's special at the time). Everything met, actually, exceeded our expectations. I've been to a few luxury hotels across the country and this is by far my favorite now. Friendly and helpful staff (even the cleaning crew we saw in the hallway were friendly). Clean and big rooms. Great room service (the food was delicious, although a bit pricey). Every day the valet got our car for us and even offered help with directions and complimentary bottled water for our trips to the nearby (minutes) theme parks (Disney, Seaworld, Universal Studios). I will definitely come back to the Waldorf if I find myself in Orlando again.

“Great hotel to do it all in Orlando”

We have an 18month old and did not want to be overwhelmed with too many "Disney" kids at the hotel, in the pool ect. this was perfect we got to relax and do Disney on our terms.

“Excellent luxury hotel in Orlando”

We traveled to Orlando primarily to visit the Disney parks, and thought the new Waldorf would be a good hub for our visit. The hotel was great, and because it is connected to the new Hilton via a convention center, guests have the option of using the Hilton facilities as well. The WA is more upscale and geared to business and adult travel (like a Four Seasons). The Hilton is more family oriented. We had breakfast every day at the Hilton and dined at their Italian restaurant 3 nights in a row, as it was that good. Compliments to both hotels for their courtesies.and service during our stay. For those families that are primarily interested in visiting the Disney or other parks, there is shuttle service to the 4 main parks, but it is definitely less convenient than staying at a Disney property. We ended up taking taxis on several occasions in order to avoid the wait, or to go to and from the water parks, where the shuttle does not provide service.

“Dream come true @ Disney”

The Waldorf was an excellent hotel for our traveling purposes. It was luxurious and had all the amenities a couple without children needed. None of the touristy Disney extras just an elegant hotel with exemplary service and delicious dining choices. It was just what we needed on our trip and more than expected.. We didn't know such even existed in Orlando.

“This hotel is, to say the least, SUPERB!”

Well, where should I start? The Waldorf Astoria is by all means one of the best hotels you can stay at in Orlando. We booked a Disney-view room with double queen beds. The View from the room, which happened to be on the 11th floor, was AMAZING. You can see all parks from up there. The hotel just opened in October, so everything there is mint new! I even believe we were the first to stay in our room. However, this is of no concern, simply because with quality like this, there is no compromise. I would rate this hotel an easy 10 out of 10. However, this said, I have to mention a couple of drawbacks that might be deal-breakers to other travelers. 1) The hotel is about 10-15 minutes away from the parks, and the only way you can get to the parks is by the hotel shuttle, and the shuttle schedule changes everyday. So you have to keep following the new schedule each time you hop on. You can also use taxis, if you're on a more flexible budget of course. 2) I only tried breakfast at Waldorf, and it was ok, but really expensive. ~$20 for an omelet . I tried more cuisines at the neighboring, less expensive twin, The Hilton, and the food was a total waste of money and time!!! Eat elsewhere. May I suggest the Boston Lobster Seafood Open Buffet. It's less than 10 minutes away and you will get stuffed!!

“Great Hotel, Great Location, would go back”

Great Hotel, staff very helpful, you can tell it is reasonably new as still a few gaps in terms of service delivery but nothing major, just those little things you notice but ignore as not important. Would have been nice if the buffet breakfast was all week and not just weekends, so we just went next door to the Hilton - at which kids eat free for breakfast (and dinner). Hilton pool also a lot better for kids, but service at Hilton pool v stretched whereas WA pool service was fantastic and the environment a lot more chilled as you would expect. Room was great with the only exception being no in room tea/coffee, so a trip to the bar for the free coffee/tea in the mornings only. Nice coffee shop in Hilton if a nice cappuchino worth a walk? Kids Club at WA very under utilised but they could not have been more accomodating, gym was OK. Overall very satisfied and would definitely return as is a great location for the parks with a free shuttle bus on hand!

“First Class all the way!!”

We usually stay at The Grand Floridian when we visit the Food & Wine festival at Epcot but decided to try The Waldorf. What a pleasant surprise!! Everything about the hotel was first class. We will definitely stay at this hotel from now on when we visit Disney.
