"Renter beware!!!We rented this house for four days at the end of May while attending a horse show. Unfortunately, the property did not match the expectations set by the listing. The pond on the property is more accurately described as a swamp, which created a severe mosquito problem. The mosquitoes were so bad that it was nearly impossible to enjoy the outdoor space. Sitting by the pool, eating outside, or relaxing on the property simply wasn’t realistic because of the constant swarms. Only two of the four bedrooms are standard-sized rooms. The other two are essentially converted closets with a bed, a window, and a few hangers. One upstairs bedroom was completely unusable due to a mosquito infestation. Mosquitoes covered the ceiling, mattress, and windowsill. When I reported this, the property manager told me it was a common issue with that room because it faces the pond. If this is a known problem, it should have been addressed before renting the property to guests. The pool was also disappointing. The photos in the VRBO listing appear heavily edited and did not reflect its actual condition. The pool was dirty, and several lounge chairs were falling apart. When we arrived, there was laundry left in the dryer and dirty dishes in the dishwasher, suggesting the property had not been properly prepared between guests. After reporting these concerns, it took four business days to receive a response. While the property manager apologized, no refund or accommodation was offered."

The Creek House - Secluded Stay 10min to Woodstock & Saugerties

"We stayed on a rather difficult weather week... so we didn't get to really experience the creek and outdoor space, which makes it harder to judge this rental which is cozy in size, but a little unusual in layout and dark on dreary days. In general it was fine - one word of caution for folks who are overly sensitive to poison ivy - the property itself is lovely but the surrounding woods are loaded with it right up to the edges ."

Glasco Woodstock - 16 Acres with Mountain View.

"We had a wonderful stay at the Glasco property and the check in process was very seamless. We felt a bit disappointed there weren't as many places to sleep in the main cabin as expected and were told that air mattresses in the closet was counted as a place to sleep. Also the home is listed as a 4-bedroom on Zillow but the VRBO listing includes a converted hallway as a room. With that side, the home is well equipped with supplies and the hot tub was clean and easy to operate. "
