highly recommend
Highly recommend, very good location in Naples centre, - in walking distance to Old Town, Quartieri Spagnoli and via Toledo. Shops and port are nearby as well. Rooms very clean and spacious enough. Breakfast rather poor but didn't expect anything more in Italy :)

Cheap- but cheap.
Room had a broken toilet- constantly dripping and the stitch was half off the wall. The shower only had one door so water goes all over the floor making it slippery. No Signage outside so very very hard to find. Walls are like paper- people check in and it is like they are next to you.

Small room with the amenities you would expect for the price. Was a bit difficult to find (the flags on the building could be updated), but for our purpose of travelling and only passing through Naples, this was perfect.

Nice clean room and helpful staff Small type facility with only a few rooms on one of the upper floors of an old building in a good location near the historical district. A bit difficult to find and looks more like a warehouse from the outside, but once on the floor, it was quaint and nice.

For the price this hotel is good especially because it’s location. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, they could gain better reviews if they would include a small detail in their rooms such as a bottle of water or a couple of glasses. Otherwise it was good.

This gem of a hotel was hidden in the back streets of Napoli and close to the local marina and Metro station. A great location for exploring the city, hotel Schilizzi was comfortable, clean and the staff were extremely helpful.

It is a friendly hotel but not finished rooms have pips stinking out bead that squeak plumbing that whistles and very noisy .Ho and almost impossible to find.

Great location, horrible hotel
This hotel is in a great location but that's about it. The room is a good size, but it looks barren and sad. Nothing on the walls, a tiny TV (pretty sure it was a computer monitor), no channels in English either, it didn't even have HDMI inputs, that's how we stream when our entertainment is limited. Our window didn't shut and latch so we heard street noise, especially great at 6am Saturday morning with construction near. The shutters were missing a few slats and there were no shades or curtains so the room was bright and sunny early in the morning. The wifi was the only saving grace of the room, lightning fast! The bed was a bit firm, we only had sheets, no comforter, but I guess since the A/C couldn't keep up with the heat it was ok. Both days we had little to no hot water, the first day was due to light switch that happens to turn off the hot water heater being flipped, its in the bathroom next to the door, who would've known. The second day, it just ran out after a 10 minute shower, then had 30 minutes to reheat but I got about 2 minutes of hot water before it ran out. The woman that checked us in was nice, but the woman that checked us out could've cared less about our no hot water and bad stay. She was mad that we paid the €10 city tax on a credit card. The elevator costs 10 cents per use, the hotel is located in a mixed use building, so if you want to use the elevator, bring lots of change. There is a great pizza place around the corner La Campanella, check them out!

nice hotel close to all amenities except for the doors it seems to be ancient no handles on the door hard to open and close smoothly , the staff were very helpful especially Mario will stay again when we visit next time to italy

An authentic Napoli experience!!!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Schilizzi Hotel. It was cozy, clean and welcoming. I enjoyed the continental breakfast. (croissants, biscotti, fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereals, coffee and juices). I loved the unique tall wood entry doors, the lift and the marble staircase in the lobby. They use skeleton keys which I loved! 24 hr parking garage next to the hotel was convenient but pricey. Overall great experience and I would stay there again.

Big room close to the heart of downtown

Terrible hotel!
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in if you can call it a hotel! It's more like serviced rooms, no bar as stated, and don't get me started about the breakfast if you can call it that! 3 tables in a tiny room, just cereal and manky fruit and you couldn't get a decent cup of tea for love nor money! You have to do your own toast and the toaster took about 10 minutes to even lightly toast the bread! Don't bother and go out for breakfast like we did every day! They even had the cheek to charge us for 2 small bottles of water when we left! The bed was as hard as rock and damp! Just don't go there!!!

Good location, good service and value.
Arrived by ferry from Sorrento. Had difficulty locating the hotel address and difficulty identifying the hotel (located on a first floor over commercial building and hotel sign not clearly visible).Two local business staff could not identify address or recall seeing the hotel - but used their i'phones and phoned the hotel. Using the local Metro Station (a few minutes walk away) as a landmark and giving directions from there would better identify the exact location. The hotel staff were most helpful and the level of security very good. The continental breakfast was adequate but breakfast items not replenished, so the last guest to breakfast could have less choice of food items (a case of "the early bird catches the worm" perhaps!). I would gladly use this hotel again for its good service and value.

Overnight Naples Stay
My wife and I holidayed in Sorrento and wanted to spend two days and a night in Naples. We booked the Schillizzi Hotel on line because of centrality and cheapness - our expectations were not high. We had a little difficulty locating the hotel, which occupies the first floor of a building in a back street but were expected and welcomed once at the front desk. Staff were pleasant and helpful and although overlooked by a bank office, the room was large ( double plus single beds )and well curtained. An en-suite wet room was clean and large with courtesy soaps and shower cream. Air. Con worked well and we had a comfortable night followed by a rather quaint but adequate continental breakfast and the young lady on duty in the morning helped us with directions to an obscure museum, printing off details and maps etc. for us. we would recommend it for a short city break.

The hotel room was functional and spacious but nothing glamorous. Location was very convenient as the hotel is very close to the metro and to the airport bus. One caution is that the walls are rather thin, so you hear your neighbors very easily. We had rather loud neighbors unfortunately. For the price and location, the hotel is good.

The owner was really nice and helped us with alot of things like getting us a cab and giving us free bottles of water. Also, the room is very comfortable because the beds are soft.

Finally, a place in Naples I felt safe!
As a solo female traveller, I found Naples quite frightening. Many many locals approached me and told me to watch myself and my belongings - which really creeped me out! Schillizzi Hotel isn't flash, but it's in a great location, the staff are friendly and they did the best they could to improve my stay. The building is old (duh!) - so I guess it comes with it's share of problems. When I arrived, I had a cold shower, but didn't think much of it because I had just been cycling. However, when I tried to charge my phone and laptop, the power shorted. The reception staff came to check it out, and it would seem that the room's hot water system was tripping the power. They didn't get it fixed in the one night I was there, but they did go up into the roof to switch of the hot water so I could charge my things. That's service!! The room was clean, spacious, and totally adequate for a single night stay. Breakfast was ok too. If you're a light-sleeper you might find the noise from the street and the other rooms problematic, but for me it was fine.

Everything was strange about my stay at this hotel. Check-in was unprofessional, and my room's AC didn't work. There were no attempts to provide me with a room that had working AC, or to fix it. When it is 35 outside, an AC is needed in a stuff hotel. The hotel is centrally located, and walking distance to the metro and sights, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Good overall
Location is very convenient at the centre of the city. Only 3mins walk to the subway station. The room is clean and decent, the only main issue is that they have a broken hand shower!! Staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is nice for the price I am paying for the hotel.

Great location
Perfect location for transportation. Less than a 5 minute walk from the port and 15 minute walk from the train station. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Close to restaurants and safe neighbourhood.

Emailed me before arrival with details and to confirm. Sent map of location, but not particularly clear. Hotel is on first floor with stairs and lift available. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was broken, and had to hold outlet over my head. Toilet flush also broken, but would work sometimes. Breakfast was very basic, so ate in local coffee shops. Was given map of city and advice on where to go and where to eat. Staff were friendly, and let me leave luggage on day of check out. Quite a long walk from train station, but in a straight line s easy to find. Good area, but noisy roads around hotel.

Very good value for the money
The hotel's street is quite very narrow and dark, and the address very hard to find, even for the taxi driver.  Area unsafe feeling at night.  Take a taxi there if you go at night! However, during the day, we found the area fine, well populated and nonthreatening.  The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. Our room was great though had some street noise in the morning. Staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, helped us set up our travel arrangements for our upcoming out of town trip, and gave advice on train and bus schedules.  Hotel well situated in the historic district, close to harbor and scenic sights.  Breakfast was very basic.  Good value for the money if you want to stay in historic district. The hotel staff arranged a taxi ride to the airport for us for a very reasonable flat rate, which was a terrific deal.

This hotel is in a great location. It is close to the center of Naples. You can walk to all the attractions. The staff is very kind, and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Great value for the price. We will stay here again the next time we are in Naples.

Great Hotel! In Great Area!
We loved the hotel! We had just stayed in a 4 star hotel in Rome and this hotel was even better and cheaper! The staff was super nice and helpful! The rooms were VERY clean and very spacious! The only problem we had is that our bathroom shower was missing a door and so the water would fly out but it was not a big problem! The location is perfect we took a cab ride when we arrived and it was about 8 Euros. On the way back we took the bus which was only a block away. The area was very safe to walk at night. We had to leave the hotel at 5:30am and the guy working those days was so kind to let us help ourselves to the breakfast kitchen. I would def recommend this hotel!

Nice place with air conditioning
This was a nice hotel and by far the best part was the air conditioning in the room as it was almost 100 degrees every day. It was easy to get to from the train station and located in a decent neighborhood down by the water. We were able to walk or easily bus to all of the sights we wanted to see. We did not know ahead of time but there was a continental breakfast included and available each morning which was a very nice surprise. The only downside was the the staff spoke very little to no English which made communicating difficult and we werent able to get any travel or sightseeing advice from them.

The bed is not the best, but in general it´s ok. The staff is very kind, although not everybody speaks english. It´s in a good location; very close to the harbor in case you want to go to Capri, and it´s not that far from the train station.

Hostel turned hotel...turn around.
This hotel was difficult for the cab driver to find, due to it being in a tiny alley (common in naples). As we walked in the hotel we noticed the old HOSTEL sign. The hotel is on the first floor (second floor to us Americans). There is a little old lady living on the ground floor that kindly directed us to the hotel. The entrance is so tiny, that I hit the reception table. Our room was not acceptable; the first thing I noticed was the bedspread was horribly stained. Also room description on Expedia says the room has: hair dryer, in room safe, internet access, clock radio, and flat panel TV, NONE of those items were in our room. We were booked to stay here for 4 nights, but after the first night we knew we had to go somewhere else. When we woke up in the morning my face and arms were covered in bright red bug bites. We ended up leaving that morning for another hotel. I didn't like paying for two hotel rooms for our stay in Naples, but there was no way we could stay here.

Struttura consigliatissima, si trova a circa 800 metri a piedi dai Quartieri Spagnoli,e a 100 metri dalla Metro, il quartiere tutto sommato é in buone condizioni, se si viene in auto ci sono parcheggi privati circostanti(leggermente cari)o strisce blu. L'hotel si trova al primo piano con ascensore,le camere sono tutte nuove,probabilmente ristrutturato quest'anno,Colazione al buffet,personale molto gentile e a disposizione!

Litet centralt men anonymt hotell
En liten anonym port leder in till detta mycket lilla enkla charmiga hotell. Svårt att hitta till om man inte vet om detta. Rent och fräscht men med en del skavanker här och där. Inte mycket till wi-fi att tala om (långsamt och oberäkneligt). Trevlig serviceminded personal och bra centralt läge mitt emellan det komersiella och det historsiska centrumen. Priset drar ner på betyget, jag tycker inte 1300 kr/rum/natt är rimligt för denna klass av hotell. 700 kr/natt så hade det blivit nära toppbetyg.

Centrally located small hotel in Naples
Small hotel in central Naples. Metro connection close by. A bit hard to find on a side street - marked only on bell at front door. Adequate room but rather small. Wifi connection ok. A reasonable budget option.
