Perfect hotel for city break, it's basic but everything you need and great value for money.

Staff was extremely helpful, location is excellent, transportation close by and some areas were well within walking distance. I would stay again when the opportunity comes along.

Very well located near to the Rijksmuseum and to the high-end shopping district, with good tram and bus connections nearby. I had a very small room but it was quiet with a window onto gardens, and this was a great place to stay.

Very attentive staff. Lovely neighborhood to walk in (upscale shops and affluent people). Safe. Nearby access to trams to center of the old town.

After all the mixed reviews I was quite apprehensive of this hotel, however was pleasantly suprised. Upon arrival I was greeted at the front desk, the receptionist was more than helpful in assisting us in anyway necessary! The room we requested was a double, and that's exactly what we got. The only downside to the room was that the double bed was really two singles pushed together and it wasn't all that comfortable. The room was a standard size, the TV had plenty of English TV channels, the bathroom was a wet room and was relatively small; you could be in the shower area and be able to touch the sink and toliet but that didn't bother me or my traveling companion! There isn't a safe in the room (nor is there one on offer at the desk) so I'd suggest to keep all your personal belonging and valuables locked away in your suitcase. The hotel was wonderfully close to Dam Square with only 3 stops on a tram and a 15 minute walk. Pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and fast food all surround the hotel. It's located in the perfect area would definitely recommend to a friend and will definitely be returning again!

We got the triple room on the top floor of the hotel. Beautiful light, wonderful view of the Rijksmuseum. There is an en suite bathroom. Great location really close to all the museums and the Concertgebouw. I'd stay there again, although if you're looking for something quiet, this isn't the place to go! The stairs are scary steep too, but kind of a bizarre adventure.

The hotel is conveniently located. It is on two tram lines, and there is a canal boat tour dock across the street. The hotel was also very clean. However, the rooms are small, even for a European hotel. You must be comfortable living out of your suitcase - no chair, table, desk, etc. to unpack. Also, there is no alarm clock. But, as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. There is someone at the front desk at all times, and they unlock the door only for hotel guests. For the price, it was a great deal.
