Property was in a good location. The hotel rooms and corridors need upgrading.. Room 707 was called a superior room but fell below that standard. No pictures or decorations. A very small television on a bare wall. No drawers to hold anything, only two narrow closets. An annexe to the room was bare except a for a bench seat. No safe.

Pretty building from the outside. Great central location. Very basic room, which was dark with no natural light. The door to the shower leaked so the floor in the bathroom would get soaked. Also the bathroom was a bit smelly.

The rooms were very small but good amount of wardrobe and storage space. Rooms were centrally set at 17 degrees which was too hot for me and when I asked at reception I was advised that there was nothing that could be done as the management sets this. Breakfast was good and the bar was pleasant. Would definitely recommend it x

A fairly good experience. There was a terrible smell coming out of the bathroom when we arrived, and it never got any better. Dragging luggage up and down stairs wasn’t much fun. Especially if you’re elderly. The bar and restaurant were great

Very nice hotel
We had a very pleasant experience staying in the Expo Àstoria. Staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good,especially for the price. I would recommend this hotel!

The property decor and fit-put is very very old and shabby. The carpets are stained and the rooms are dark and poorly lit. Our room and entrance are smelled highly of strong sanitizer -much like a public washroom; seriously. The property calls itself an “art” hotel and there isn’t any art to be seen. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms rates are low - just keep your expectations low, too.

Good location, looks small and old on the outside but clean and room was comfortable. The lobby to check in would require you to walk either up or down a floor to get to elevator, probably a challenge of you can't manage the stairs with your luggage though there was a bell hop person to help. Our room was spacious, no view since the window looks out type an alley. Bathroom has soap but shampoo else like shampoo, lotion. Overall pleasant, would stay there again.

Couldnt find any lift that goes directly to the lobby. So had to either lift heavy luggage up or down stairs to lobby

The location is the most likeable feature of this property, as it is close to the attractions. However, looking through the window, we were shocked to see abandoned buildings defaced with graffiti. Also, you should change the picture of the Hotel on your website, as it does not correspond with the actual position nor the look of this Hotel.

The property is very well located on a major bus route and very close to the Metro. Rooms are ok but bathrooms have an odour of drains

Close to metro station, just about 3-min walk. The area is quite quiet. Hotel room is big and mattress is comfortable. They also offer free port wine for tasting. Hotel staff are very friendly.

When we arrived there were no rooms available. There was no reception area so no where to sit. It was raining so difficult to change our clothes to go outside. That evening, the room was hot and the air conditioning did not work. We checked with our friends who were staying directly below us and their air conditioning was working. We made at least 6 trips to the front desk to tell them. It was over 85 degrees in our room. It was impossible to sleep that night. The hallways were dark and dingy. The staff was not helpful and very rude when i asked for a price adjustment because of the air conditioning issue. The window shades were heavy wood so it seemed like a tomb when they were closed. .

Needs a little TLC
I have stayed at this hotel about 9 times in the past several years. Usually, I haven't any complaints but this time it was one thing after another. The most disagreeable was the bathroom. It was not clean, it was very shabby, we did not have any hot water and very little water pressure for our three day stay and the bathroom was so small and oddly designed in that you had to open the door, slid in then close the door so you could get to the toilet. Given one of us was a slightly larger person, this was more than unpleasant. We had to phone down for fresh towels, the floor was very noisy and the carpets were not clean. Again, stayed several times and this was a first complaint. Also, wifi was terrible.

Central Location is the Highlight
The area was perfect and close to everything in Lisbon. However, the hotel decor was all dark brown (walls, carpet, furniture) and made for a bit of a depressing environment. My daughter was scared to go down the hall because it was so dark. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. I was told they only place shampoo and conditioner in "family rooms"..I don't know what that means, but they sent someone up with what we needed shortly after. The room seemed a little dirty or at least whatever rag they used to wipe down everything left a noticeable residue on the furniture and wallpaper. The beds need to be replaced as the spring mattress was uncomfortable. We had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant and the staff was very nice. Overall a so so experience and next time we're in Lisbon I'll spring for a better hotel.

Eu gostei muito do hotel , o pequeno almoço é excelente, a limpeza estava sempre perfeita, a uníca coisa que não gostei foi do edredon parecia muito plastificado e as almofadas podiam ser mais fofas. De um modo geral voltaria a ficar instalada no hotel, otima localização e os quarto era excelente para famílias, muito confortável e espaçoso.
