Things in town closed early during shoulder season so we did like that the hotel had a place to hang out at night. Spa and sauna needed a bit more instructions but was a nice option. "

"Great place with amazing views but you should know there is a STEEP hill to walk up to get here. You CANNOT walk here from town. If you are disabled or elderly this is not the place for you. You are carrying your luggage up and down a hill. The last bus to and from town is at 6:45pm so your day is done then. Restaurant was closed also. We had to get food and get home before the 6:45 p and that sucked badly. "

I suggest requesting a room with a view of these mountains as opposed to the other side that looks towards Mount First. That side isn't bad, but the view towards Eiger and Monch is fantastic. The mountains feel close enough to touch. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the main train station, but there are also buses...
