Ideal location for shopping, restaurants and exploring Budapest. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, they set us up with our Hop on Hop off pass and walking maps They also arranged our 4:00 a.m. taxi to the airport, without any issues. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. I was very happy with this hotel selection and would gladly recommend. The hotel helped make our time in Budapest hassle free.

The Eurostars Budapest Center **** is a modern and functional hotel of innovating inner design. It has 175 rooms, including 6 …More
This is a lovely hotel right in the centre of Pest. It's really close to a metro station allowing you to get there easily from the airport if you're using public transport, and once you're there most of the sights are walkable. The hotel itself is really comfortable and the staff are helpful. Would definitely recommend it.
Super 4 day stay. Very modern and immaculately clean hotel. Had requested a double bed and tea/coffee set by e mail before stay. Acknowledged promptly and in room on arrival. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. Room 402 quiet lovely en suite. A little small but suited us fine. The hotels free wi fi was fast about 10 meg. I hired a portable wi fi worked all over Budapest for only 3 euros a day. Had all walking maps and tourist info on phone. Highly recommended. We paid around 60 pounds a night. Absolute bargain. Breakfast 12 euros each. Wonderful. Freshly cooked full English at the griddle and cold cuts, fruits and cereals. It's only 5 mins walk to river and Varosmarty Square and Vaci Utca main shopping street. Perfect position in Pest. Can't fault it.
What a great city to visit. Really enjoyed our stay in Budapest.
The Mercure Hotel was great, excellent location, clean and welcoming.
In previous years we had been to Dussledorf and Brussels for the Christmas Markets but Budapest and its beautiful buildings is by far the best so far.
We enjoyed great food which was excellent value for money and treated ourselves to a fantastic day out at the Gellert Thermal Baths & Spa - superb.
"This is not a 4 star hotel. It is a Bed & Breakfas"
This establishment is published on the Expedia site in the 4 stars category Hotels.
The establishment is at the second floor of a regular apartment building and is composed of only 4 rooms.
No lobby . No reception. I would categorize it as a 3 star hostel.
Price per night for a single person in this area is hugely exaggerated for the facilities and comfort it offers.
In my opinion it should be under the category Bed & Breakfast or Hostels in order to prevent confusion of potential customers ordering it on Expedia.
As a frequent Expedia customer I strongly suggest to remove it from Expedia Hotels and move it to Bed & Breakfast.
Hotel very good, views amazing, Near to Christmas markets, 24 hour shop opposite. Always taxis at the front. Staff always happy to help, view by night to die for. Near one of the spas.
I proposed to my partner in the centre of the ice skating ring which is the largest in Europe!!
Great hotel, clean warm and comfortable. The staff were always polite and would do anything to help, recommending restaurants and places to go etc. On the night we arrived they had to transfer us to the sister hotel down the road, it was a 5 minute walk but they paid for a taxi there and back and upgraded our room for the rest of our stay! Excellent service. Only slight (very slight!) Criticism is that although our coffee and sugar was replaced daily we never seemed to get any milk, except on the first and last day.
Would stay again.
The marriott hotel Budapest is one of best hotels. The location is the best . Our room overlooked the Danub over to Buda with a fantastic view. The staff are very friendly and speak good english. The food was also very good . One downfall is that there is no swimming pool at the Hotel. We will be returning.
