"The public areas are gorgeous. Downstairs there is a lounge with generous snack options as well as onsen.I'm in a wheelchair and my needs are unique. The room is barely wheelchair accessible and the entry to the bathroom is not. That was not a problem for me but I warn other wheelchair users they would not be happy here. I needed a roll in shower which it had. Breakfasts were excellent and their French toast is the best I've ever had with incredibly custardy interior. Dinner on the other hand...

"My boyfriend and I stayed at Pocket for several days while visiting Kyoto. It is located in such a convenient area (walkable distance to Nishiki and transit). The property itself is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful! It is definitely worth staying here for the price! The only complaint I have come from the other foreigners/tourists. Please be respectful of the space especially when maintaining cleanliness as this is a shared space. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend Pocket hotel! "

"APA Hotel Kyoto Ekihigashi was one of the best hotel we have stayed in. All of the staff is friendly organized and try very hard to be as helpful as possible. The breakfast was great, a wide variety of different foods for every culture. The had a big public bath one for men and one for women. A great experience. Refrigerator in the room use of microwave and you can do your only laundry. The big kicker it is 10 minutes away from Kyoto station and alt of delicious restaurants. "
